Dump and bake meal idea for the family
Nothing is easier than a dump and bake meal for you and your family on a lazy day so here is an idea for you!
This dish is called a potato bake that I did not get a recipe for I made it up and it turned out to be one of my favorite things to make!
The ingredients for this dish is:
-salsa
-potatoes
-salt and pepper
-onion
-garlic
I got these ingredients from Walmart which is available to everyone out there.
I cut the potatoes and put it together and baked it for 30 minutes on high and then put it on low until it was nice and crispy from the sides I recommend you do that too to get nice crispy potatoes.
Would YOU make this? 🤔
I love how versatile and forgiving this dump and bake potato recipe is. One of the things that makes it such a great option for a family meal is how you can easily customize it with whatever ingredients you have on hand. For example, adding a bit of cheese on top during the last few minutes of baking adds a lovely melty richness. For crispier results, I found that parboiling the potato slices before baking can help speed up cooking time and ensure they're tender inside while getting crispy edges. Also, layering the salsa evenly before baking really helps infuse flavor through the potatoes, turning the dish into a comforting, savory treat. When I make this recipe, I like to add fresh herbs such as rosemary or thyme to elevate the flavor profile and freshness. It’s also a great base to mix in some cooked protein like shredded chicken or ground beef, turning it into a fuller meal. Using simple staple ingredients from Walmart or your local grocery store makes this a convenient go-to meal. Overall, this potato bake has become a household favorite because it requires minimal prep, uses affordable ingredients, and results in a delicious, crowd-pleasing dish perfect for lazy days or busy weeknights.
