FAITH: When God says “put your weapons down”
Where do I even begin with this.
Well, first off you can watch the full podcast on youtube @mercypodcast
God has been emphasizing being still and letting him be God.
After spending time under a ministry that really led me so far away from the truth. God has reminded me.
He is in control.
I believe so many people are experiencing trauma right now because of thinking they have to worship loudly, pray X amount of hours, fast and intercede for others.
MAYBE that was true for a season.
What if God is now testing your obedience by asking you to let go of your fighting, need to have your hand on it to see if you really trust him.
I believe God is calling us to rest for a purpose. For those of us who have not yet entered his rest, ITS OKAY. You can let him fight the battle.
Exodus 14:14 tells us he will fight the battle. we need to only be still - hold our peace (kjv)
Anyone telling you otherwise may not be hearing the voice of God because they have benefited from previous seasons of control and still don’t know how to give God his job back.
Be discerning of the people you’re listening to in this time that try to take you from the free gift of rest in Christ.
Galatians teaches us the perversions of different gospels that have been going out in the world since the days of the apostles. Remember what Jesus did for us so we would never have to establish our faith by self righteousness.

The journey of faith often feels like a constant battle, doesn't it? We're taught to pray hard, strive, and fight for what we believe. But what if, like me, you've reached a point where you're exhausted, and God is gently whispering, "Put your weapons down"? It might seem scary for some of us, even uncomfortable, to imagine letting go of our need to control or exert effort. We worry that if we stop fighting, everything will fall apart. But as I've personally experienced, that's precisely when God steps in and says, "The war is over now, just peace." He's calling us to a deeper level of trust, a place where we can truly relax and let Him be God. So, what does it practically mean to "put down your weapons" in your spiritual life? It's not about becoming passive or ignoring spiritual warfare; rather, it’s about recognizing that our weapons are often self-reliance, anxiety, and striving in our own strength. It means surrendering that self-preservation that tries to keep you alive, and instead, handing over your battles to the One who promises, "With God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26). For me, this meant consciously releasing the burden of feeling like I had to fix every problem or intercede for every situation with exhaustive effort. It meant truly believing that God is number one, He is sovereign, and He is perfectly capable of handling what overwhelms me. When I felt I was standing on shaky ground, remembering that Jesus is the solid rock I stand on gave me the courage to be still. As Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still, and know that I am God." This stillness isn't inactivity; it's an active choice to rest in His power and purpose. Allowing God to fight your battles means trusting His timing, His wisdom, and His methods, even when they don't make sense to our human logic. It means finding peace in the certainty that He is in control, not you. This surrender isn't weakness; it's profound strength found in Him. I've learned that when I finally put down my weapons, God picks up His, and His victory is always assured. This is the true rest He calls us into – a place of unwavering trust, knowing He has already won the war.
❤️❤️❤️ going through a transition right now and God is showing me what peace can be for me and feel like 🙏🏾
