stress relief ideas

** TLDR AT THE BOTTOM IF YOU DONT WANT TO READ EVERYTHING ! **

There's so many different ways to deal with stress, but these ones have been the most effective for combatting both stress and anxiety!

1. Writing Poetry

• for me, poetry is a different way for me to express my feelings while not necessarily being blunt about them.

• at the same time though, it's an outlet for my creativity and lets me sit down and take on my feelings as a healthy coping mechanism. it teaches me how to understand and word my emotions.

2. Roller Skating

• I just started skating January of last year, and since then I can say it gives peace of mind. It truly does make me feel like I'm floating and nothing else matters.

• It especially works for me while listening to my own music , i'll find any excuse to skate, whether at a actual park, rink, or a tennis court!

3. Take it one day at a time

• By living in the present (still obviously thinking about the future) truly does help me manage my stress. Not forgetting everything but keeping it in your back pocket is important.

• By just evaluating your day, and living in the moment, it'll allow you to relax even slightly without worrying about the far future or distant past.

4. Go on walks!

• Being active genuinely helps! For me, I love looking at nature and taking in fresh air instead of rotting in my bed all day.

• Invite people to go with you too, it'll help elevate the experience.

5. Self-Care Days

• Self care, to me, isn't necessarily doing a skin care routine. Self care is learning to love yourself and take care of your entire being.

• It can include skin care sure, but doting on yourself and taking care of your soul, a higher power if you believe in it, your own physical being, and understanding who you are is truly self care.

TLDR;;

take care of yourself by developing healthy coping mechanisms, managing yourself/time, and you'll truly begin to feel relief. self care days, going on walks, roller skating, and even writing poetry are all ways that help to relieve my stress.
