These seemingly minor issues often signal deeper mental health struggles such as burnout or anxiety. One major indicator for me was the feeling of my brain 'checking out' randomly during the day. This mental fog made concentrating on work or conversations difficult, impacting productivity and relationships. Additionally, withdrawing from people I cared about was another warning sign. I would avoid responding to messages or calls, not because I wanted to, but because I felt emotionally drained. Interestingly, many people, including myself, tend to act 'fine' around others but experience a wave of emotional exhaustion once alone. This disconnect between public appearance and internal feelings can make it harder for friends and family to notice when help is needed. If you notice any of these signs, consider reaching out to a mental health professional or trusted person to share your feelings. Small lifestyle changes like regular exercise, proper sleep hygiene, and mindfulness practices can also support your mental health. Remember, acknowledging these hidden signs is a brave first step toward healing and regaining balance in life.
