Putting Myself Out There

2/18 Edited to

... Read morePutting yourself out there can be one of the most transformative experiences, especially when you carry multiple roles like being a veteran, caregiver, student, and small business owner. From my personal experience, the process of rebuilding is not about wiping the slate clean but rather about applying the lessons learned from past challenges to forge a stronger and wiser path forward. As a veteran, the discipline and resilience developed during service have been invaluable in facing the uncertainties of entrepreneurship. Starting a veteran-owned business allowed me to connect with a network of like-minded individuals who understand the unique transition from military to civilian life. This community support made the journey less isolating and more empowering. Balancing caregiving responsibilities while pursuing a business and education requires a level of creativity and time management that evolves constantly. It taught me that flexibility and self-compassion are essential. Sometimes, putting yourself out there means asking for help or adjusting plans to maintain well-being. Being part of the Makers Movement and identifying as a creative entrepreneur opened opportunities to blend passion with purpose. Engaging with others in the same space fostered collaboration and innovation, proving that starting over can lead to unexpected growth and fulfillment. Ultimately, this journey reaffirmed an important truth: putting yourself out there is about embracing vulnerability and growth simultaneously. It’s a continuous cycle of stepping outside comfort zones, learning from setbacks, and celebrating progress, no matter how small. Whether you identify with the veteran community, caregiving, entrepreneurship, or all of the above, remember that rebuilding is a personal evolution—starting wiser with every step you take.

PUTTING MYSELF OUT THERE MORE!
So I figure people actually have to hear the music to hear the music. I usually keep all these songs locked up on my computer for only me to hear…idk why. Stage fright maybe, cause I’m not tapped in with super star production teams and big labels. I just make this stuff in my bedroom. idk.

i guess you can say, this funk was extra funkyyy and lasted much longer than the low seasons i've had in the past. fortunately, it wasn't so bad to where i stayed in bed all day, but it did get to the point where i had no motivation to do anything, and when i did take action, i felt numb.
