Finding My Style

I think the hardest thing to do after having kids is finding yourself again… accepting your new body and all the changes.. to really love yourself again and also finding your style in clothes again.. escaping your comfort clothes of leggings and oversized t-shirts and trying something different.. today I did that and I have to say it’s uncomfortable but i don’t hate it #believeinyourself #yourebeautiful #takethechance #makethatchange #LoveYourself

... Read moreAfter having children, many parents find it challenging to reconnect with their personal style. The journey of self-discovery and acceptance can be filled with insecurities about body changes and adjusting to new roles. It’s common to stick to comfort clothes like leggings and oversized t-shirts, but stepping out of your comfort zone can lead to exciting transformations. One way to approach this transition is to begin with smaller changes. Start by experimenting with accessories that can elevate simple outfits, such as colorful scarves, statement jewelry, or trendy hats. Incorporating these elements can add flair without feeling overwhelming. Additionally, consider joining online communities or local groups where other parents share their fashion journeys. Platforms like Lemon8 can provide inspiration and practical tips from others who have faced similar challenges. When choosing new outfits, look for pieces that are versatile and fit well with your lifestyle. Opt for clothing that is both stylish and functional, such as fitted tops paired with high-waisted jeans or flowing skirts that allow for easy movement while chasing after kids. Prioritize comfort without sacrificing style by selecting breathable fabrics and flattering cuts. Don’t forget the power of a good fit! Tailoring clothing to fit your unique body shape can significantly boost confidence. If altering your current wardrobe feels daunting, consider thrifting for gently used items to experiment without a hefty investment. Ultimately, finding your style after becoming a parent is about embracing change and feeling confident in your skin. Allow yourself grace during this process and remember that personal style is a reflection of who you are at this moment in time. Share your journey on social media, using hashtags like #BelieveInYourself and #LoveYourself to connect with an empowering community.
