This book is based in Mishawaka,Indiana. It’s about Nicole “Nic” Monroe she is 24 years old and lives in a not so nice place. She recently gotten an DWI; has been working in the same places since high school a dead end job, only reason she still there is because her boss is a family friend and feels sorry for her. Everyone in town felt sorry for her ever since her older sister Kasey vanished 7 years ago. The night her sister went missing their car was found over a hundred miles from home. The car was just on the side of the road door open purse untouched on the passenger seat. No clues at all! Then Jules Connor comes along another young woman from the same area who disappeared in the same way two weeks before. Both cases eventually went cold since the police had so little evidence.Nic is trying to move on from her sister’s disappearance and how it effected her. But Jenna Connor comes and offers Nic hope something she hasn’t had in a while.Working together on their sister disappearance.

The discovery of Kasey’s abandoned car over a hundred miles from home, with its door open and purse untouched, adds an eerie chill to the mystery. Adding depth to this narrative is the parallel case of Jules Connor, another young woman from the same area who disappeared just weeks before Kasey.
