The journey to discovering your interior design signature style begins with understanding your personal story. For many, including myself, experiences of grief and creativity in childhood play a significant role. After losing my father, I found solace in personalizing my own room, which became a sanctuary for emotional expression. This connection to home led me on travels across Mexico, fostering a love for vibrant colors and textures that have influenced my design aesthetic. Attending workshops like those led by @nataliewalton can provide essential frameworks for introspecting this journey. Her formula, involving personal narratives, emotions, and core values, serves as a practical blueprint for emerging designers. Over the years, my exploration has also led me to embrace sustainable practices, such as opting for non-toxic, eco-friendly materials, crucial for creating not just beautiful spaces but mindful ones. From boho-chic accents to earthy designs inspired by nature, these elements reflect both my history and my passions. By recognizing that our past experiences forge the lens through which we see and create, we can better navigate our design journeys, leading to spaces that resonate on deeper levels.
