🧋Sun-tea Season is officially here!🫖
🫖If you've ever seen me in the wild, you know I have tea with me--no matter where I am--24/7 & yes, 365.❄️When it's cold, I'm an Early Grey or Chai Girlie. ☕️
🌞But when the days become too warm for hot tea, I break out the Sun-tea jug & get to experimenting.
I have far too much fun to be considered "normal" mixing & matching various teas, tea blends, & plants-- sometimes they taste bizarre, but I've never had 1 so bizarre LOOKING (& yes, a little bizarre tasting).😜
🦋This Butterfly Pea Flower (Latin: *Clitoria ternatea*-- if you don't understand WHY it has that name, I honestly can't help you 😂) was brought to me by a dear friend after a recent trip to Thailand-- where it grows.
😋What does it taste like? Imagine the taste of *real* grass- but not your Roundup-drenched, fertilizer-fed, Kentucky bluegrass. *Real* grass that grew in a field a bazillion miles from people.🌿
🌾It's turfy, herbaceous & wild. Add lemon juice & it tastes like you're drinking an actual lemon tree 🍋BONUS: it turns purple with acidic juices added!💜
🤓 They say a plant's appearance gives hints as to what parts of the body it benefits, & current research is showing very promising benefits for hormonal regulation, PCOS, & endometriosis. ♀️
🌱You don't have to wait for a friend to visit Thailand-- check out @tealadykatie (@tealadyshop) & if you're a Flathead Local, want some "in person" suggestions & support a local business girlie--- @nerdygirltea 😘

Sun tea, a delightful summer tradition, offers a unique way to brew tea using sunlight rather than boiling water. This method allows for a gentle infusion of flavors, yielding a smooth and refreshing beverage that's perfect for warm days. Butterfly Pea Flower tea, made from the Clitoria ternatea plant, is renowned for its vibrant blue color and the interesting transformation it undergoes when lemon is added—turning a magical purple hue. Not only is it beautiful, but it also carries numerous health benefits. Rich in antioxidants, studies suggest that Butterfly Pea Flower can help support immune function, enhance concentration, and improve memory. It has been related to promoting healthy skin and hair, making it a great addition to your wellness routine. Additionally, there's growing interest in its potential benefits for hormonal health, specifically concerning conditions such as PCOS and endometriosis. With the rise of herbal remedies and natural alternatives, incorporating Butterfly Pea Flower into your sun tea repertoire can offer a refreshing taste while working towards your health goals. Whether you're sipping it on its own or blending with other herbs and fruits, sun tea provides a delightful way to stay hydrated and enjoy nature's gifts this season.
