I finally finished! Despite seeing so many videos on social media about this book, I was still pleasantly surprised by it. I am obsessed with the mix of dark romance and romcom! I need more of it in my life.
Characters: Realistic and relatable, unlike my usual romantasy characters. Josh’s goofy, but primal personality is fantastic! Aly is not just another damsel in distress, she’s a badass!
Plot: Even with all the trigger warnings, this was lighthearted and comedic. I was not in any way, shape, or form traumatized by it (unlike Exodus by Kate Stewart).
