I absolutely love the look of cold girl makeup! from my experience, the trick is to build up the blush instead of using a bunch of blush in one go. of course my blush is a bit dull, i could’ve definitely added a bit more red but the more the better!

... Read moreOkay, so you've seen my 'cold girl makeup' look, and if you're anything like me, you're always on the hunt for those perfect products that truly make a difference. One of my absolute secret weapons for achieving that ethereal, frosty glow is the Milani Baked Highlighter in Dolce Perla. Seriously, this little gem deserves its own spotlight! When I first picked it up, I was drawn to the beautiful marbled pan – it just looks so luxurious, especially for its price point. I've always loved a good compact powder highlighter, and this one totally delivers. The texture is incredibly finely milled, almost creamy, which means it glides onto the skin without emphasizing texture. You know how some highlighters can look glittery or chunky? Not this one. Dolce Perla gives you this stunning, almost wet-looking sheen, like a natural, diffused radiance rather than just sparkles. It's mind-blowing how high-end it feels! For my 'cold girl makeup,' I find it absolutely essential. The shade Dolce Perla itself is a beautiful icy champagne with a hint of pearlescence, making it perfect for creating that 'frosted' effect without looking stark. It's not too warm, making it ideal for pairing with cool-toned blushes and contours, which are key to the look. I usually apply it with a fluffy brush to the high points of my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose, and my cupid's bow. For an extra pop, I'll sometimes use a denser brush or even my fingertip for a more intense white highlight on the very tops of my cheekbones. You really can customize the intensity, which is a huge plus! What I love about this highlighter for the cold girl look is how buildable it is. Just like I mentioned with the blush – you want to build, not just dump! You can go for a subtle, everyday glow, or layer it up for a more dramatic, almost icy finish that truly catches the light. It blends seamlessly, especially if you've already laid down a good base like a glowy foundation or skin tint. It just melts into the skin, making you look luminous from within and lasts throughout the day without fading. It also plays well with other products. I use it alongside my Rare Beauty blushes and Elf putty bronzer, and it never looks out of place or cakey. The way it catches the light, especially in winter, just completes the whole aesthetic. If you're looking to elevate your winter makeup or just want a reliable, stunning highlighter that won't break the bank, you seriously need to try the Milani Baked Highlighter in Dolce Perla. It's become a staple in my routine for that perfect frosty, captivating glow, and I honestly can't recommend it enough for anyone wanting to master the cold girl aesthetic!
