Beauty Empties ✨

•Abib Jericho rose crème - 7/10

-Thick and heavy, yet airy cream moisturizer- can feel a bit too heavy at times while still leaving me wishing it were a bit more hydrating

•TONYMOLY The Chok Chok Green Tea No-wash Cleansing Water - 8/10

-This smells a lot like a lemony iced tea and doesn’t leave me feeling sticky or like I need to rinse it off or anything. I just put some on a washcloth and swipe it over the area I want to cleanse. It does remove quite a lot but it might not be able to do the job for something like waterproof mascara

•Peach&Lily Glass Skin Face Polisher - 9/10

-I personally really like this cleanser because it makes my skin feel really deep cleaned but some may find it harsh. Unless the product has been really thoroughly emulsified the gritty texture is very prevalent, otherwise it’s great. There is no scent or anything.

•Cocokind Glow Essence with sea grape caviar - 10/10

-I really like to use this when I am feeling a bit dry but I don’t want to use apply moisturizer. I just spray a couple spritzes over my face and pat it in with my fingertips. It leaves me dewy and moisturized.

•MIX:BAR Vanilla Bourbon eau de parfum - 8/10

-Since it is an affordable perfume, there is a higher alcohol content, so the scent evaporates faster and the alcohol can be smelled a bit. I also found that it does stain if sprayed in close contact. The smell is very nice- warm and sweet. It is not too strong but the scent is still there.

... Read moreYou know that feeling when you finally hit pan on a product, or squeeze out the last drop? It’s a mix of satisfaction and the immediate need to figure out what’s next! My recent batch of beauty empties had me reflecting on what truly works, especially when you’re aiming for that smooth, refined skin. The query "pore refiner creamy" really got me thinking about how these products, even if not explicitly marketed that way, played a role in my routine. Achieving 'glass skin' isn't just about minimizing pores, it's also about hydration and a smooth texture. Let's talk about how some of these empties fit into that. First up, the Peach&Lily Glass Skin Face Polisher. While its name doesn't scream 'pore refiner,' any good exfoliator is your secret weapon for keeping pores clear and making them appear smaller. My experience with this product, despite its "gritty texture" if not thoroughly emulsified, was that it left my "skin feeling really deep cleaned" and incredibly "smooth." For anyone searching for a pore refiner, mechanical exfoliation like this, used wisely, can make a huge difference. It sloughs off dead skin cells that can otherwise clog pores and make them look enlarged. My personal tip? Take your time emulsifying it with water; it makes for a much gentler yet effective polishing experience. Then there’s the Abib Jericho rose crème. You asked about "creamy" products, and this moisturizer definitely fits the bill with its "thick and heavy, yet airy cream" consistency. While it's not a direct pore refiner, proper hydration is absolutely critical for healthy skin and minimizing the appearance of pores. When your skin is dehydrated, it can sometimes overproduce oil to compensate, which in turn can lead to clogged pores. A rich, creamy moisturizer like this helps keep your skin barrier intact and balanced. I found it quite hydrating, though sometimes wished for a tad more. It’s that creamy comfort that your skin sometimes craves, especially after a good exfoliation, to lock in moisture and maintain elasticity. And let’s not forget the role of other steps. The TONYMOLY The Chok Chok Green Tea No-wash Cleansing Water was great for those lazy nights or quick refreshes. While it’s not designed for deep pore cleansing, it’s a gentle way to remove surface impurities, setting the stage for your more active pore-refining steps. You want a clean canvas before you apply anything else to target those pores. Finally, the Cocokind Glow Essence with sea grape caviar – this one was a 10/10 for me! I used it when my skin felt a bit dry, and it left me "dewy and moisturized." Essences, especially "super moisturizing" ones like this, are fantastic for boosting hydration and giving your skin that plump look, which can indirectly make pores less noticeable. When your skin is well-hydrated and plump, it reflects light better, contributing to that 'glass skin' effect and making imperfections, like pores, appear less prominent. So, while not every product in my empties haul is a dedicated "pore refiner creamy" product, they each play a vital role in a comprehensive routine aimed at achieving smooth, hydrated, and healthy-looking skin with minimized pores. It’s all about creating a synergy between deep cleansing, exfoliation, and intense hydration. Finding the right balance for your skin is key, and these products were definitely steps in that direction for me!
