Anua Toner - Is it worth it?
Last year I bought this 500ml bottle of the Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner. I was so excited to try it because I had been seeing it everywhere and it was getting rave reviews. The thing is though, I have not seen a difference in my skin…
This toner is the texture of slightly soapy water and it leaves my skin feeling a bit sticky while it dries into my skin. I find that it seems to take a few seconds before it dries.
I have tried putting it on as just one layer, as well as trying it by putting on a few layers, but the difference doesn’t really seem to be noticeable.
I got the toner from Olive Young (a website that sells kbeauty products), and it was $36.59 with a sale that was going on. I just can’t say that it is worth it to me.

When diving into the world of K-beauty, the Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner often pops up as a must-try, and like many, I was drawn in by the rave reviews. My personal journey with this product, however, wasn't quite what I expected, and I wanted to share some deeper insights, especially considering what others might be looking for. First, let's talk about the product bottle and its *packaging*. The clear bottle design of the Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner is quite minimalist and appealing. You can clearly see the large 500ml quantity, which often makes people feel like they're getting good value for money. It's a sturdy plastic bottle, which is great for clumsy hands like mine, but I did wonder if the clear design meant the heartleaf extract might be more prone to degradation from light over time, a common concern with certain active ingredients. For those searching for 'Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner bottle product' or 'packaging,' it definitely looks premium on the shelf, fitting right into the aesthetic of many K-beauty routines. Then there's the *texture on hand*. My experience with it feeling like 'slightly soapy water' that leaves a 'sticky' residue wasn't unique. Many toners, especially those rich in humectants like hyaluronic acid or certain plant extracts, can have this slightly viscous feel. While the Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner boasts a high concentration of heartleaf extract known for its soothing properties, this texture can be a deal-breaker for some. If you're encountering similar stickiness, try applying it to slightly damp skin, or pressing it into your face rather than rubbing. Using just a few drops at a time and allowing each layer to absorb fully before the next might also help. For those curious about the 'Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner texture,' it's definitely something you either love or learn to work with. Regarding *application methods*, beyond just one layer or multiple, there's quite a bit of discussion. The '7-skin method' (applying seven thin layers of toner) is popular in K-beauty for maximizing hydration. While I tried multiple layers, perhaps a very specific technique could have yielded different results. Some people prefer using a cotton pad application for toners, which can help with gentle exfoliation and ensure even distribution, though it might waste a bit more product. Others, like me, prefer patting it in directly with clean hands. Each method can slightly alter absorption and how the product feels on your skin, so it’s worth experimenting, even if the Anua toner didn't quite hit the mark for me personally. Ultimately, my Anua toner review highlights that skincare is incredibly personal. What works wonders for one person might do nothing for another. My 'HONEST REVIEW' is that while the Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner is beloved by many for its calming effects, it didn't quite deliver the noticeable difference I hoped for in my skin. It's an interesting product to try, especially if you're experiencing mild irritation and are curious about heartleaf, but managing expectations about immediate or dramatic results is key.

For me the toner doesn’t have a soapy texture, I noticed it did because my face wash wasn’t completely rinsed off all the way, so I had to make sure it was completely off. I also find it’s better to shake the bottle before using it. It’s still a very simple toner and doesn’t give crazy results, but it’s very soothing!
