Magical -Litha Fruit Elixer
Nothing says a celebration of summer and reaping the benefits of what we have sown like a fruit medley. Fruit having so many magical and health properties, sweet, fragrant, and enchanting!
Litha or better known as the midsummer solstice is a time to honor the sun, celebrate the abundance of the harvest and embrace the energy of the summer and all the hard work put into the what we have sowed! It’s the longest day of the year, henceforth every day after will grow shorter as darkness returns and we once again prepare for the long nights. However there is time before that should come, let us rehouse in the warm weather and all the fruits of our labor!
Start with a cleansed bowl (both literally and magically), use a food grade knife as your athame.
All fruits have properties and feel free to substitute with what is available to you.
Cantaloupe- joy
pineapple -prosperity
Strawberries -love and peace
oranges/tangerines -sunshine, happiness, health
mango - spirituality
grapes- prosperity
raspberries - energy
peaches - fertility, harmony
Stir in those good vibes with joyful intent!
Refrigerate!
You can also Add sugar for some sweet abundance, love, and comfort (if your fruit is a little tart)
Lemon for purity and protection
Lime for positive energy
Mint leaves for attraction
(makes for a delicious dressing!)
Darkness will return soon, but let’s bask in the summer sun as long as we can, set those intentions, work hard because before we know it, it will be the resting seasons all over again!
