3 plants you can grow in just water!

Good news! You don’t always need soil! I’ve recently been testing different medium alternatives to soil such as LECA, and water. I’ve talked about growing cat grass from water but these are 3 other plants in my collection that I found are able to thrive in nothing but fresh water (as long as you give them a little care 🪴💧).

🌿 Mint – Perfect for your kitchen windowsill! Just place a cutting in a jar of water, change it weekly, and you’ll have fresh leaves for tea & cooking.

🍃 Philodendron – These trailing ladies grow new roots quickly in water. They love bright, indirect light (east facing window) and will happily live in a vase as long as you refresh the water and trim the roots.

🌱 Pothos – The ultimate beginner plant! Pothos can live indefinitely in water. Add a tiny drop of liquid fertilizer once a month and enjoy lush, green vines without soil.

💧 Water Care Tips:

• Change water weekly (or when cloudy)

• Rinse roots occasionally

• Bright, indirect light (east facing window)

• Add a drop of liquid fertilizer monthly once roots are established.

Would you try a full water garden in your home? 🌿
