•Outfit 1: I went on a trip with my girls to the beach (AKA fire island new york) and I knew I had to pack a perfect outfit that would suit me and not show too many of my curves, while also dressing my age. This set saved me! I wore a black top, which was more short than expected considering my bust is big and I was a bigger girl, the top was more ribbed but was very comfortable. Knowing more about the top and getting to wear it often, I did not have to constantly pull it down, in fact it was in place all of the time. the skirt match perfectly and it looks like a dress! It was a little bit longer then expected but since ruffle-y I could fold it up to make it shorter which solved all of my problems. i had shorts underneath! ⭐️Overall rating: 4/5

•Outfit 2: NEW YORK NEW YORK NEW YORK 🏙️, absolutely loved this outfit. Lived out my tate mcrae jersey new york fashion week dream. The jersey was from shein and came in multiple colors, I had a tank top underneath because it was a bit sheer, very light weight and comfortable. The jeans were a little big but considering they are men’s pants they were nice to walk in, had to roll them up a little bit. I had sun glasses and a bag to fit the look as well, the bag did wonders but the entire day it was freezing and raining. Got sick after but it’s my own fault for not looking at the weather. ⭐️Overall rating: 4/5

•Outfit 3: This is one of my favorite outfits to walk around campus in. These are my favorite pants by far, they are from old navy and got them on sale for about $12. They are loose but fit me so well and very light weight, they are a bit long, I am 5’3 and they are a perfect length but be careful cause the sometimes slide down. I got the sweater from amazon, it was a regular grey crewneck that I decided to cut. I had a tank top underneath In case of any major slip ups, but this outfit is perfect for fall and also spring, or even a comfy day. love love love ⭐️Overall rating: 5/5

• Outfit 4: Liked this outfit but was not my favorite. The pink shirt was originally a body suit that I cut to make cropped and the shorts are from target. These are my favorite shorts because they are very soft, a linen fabric to them, a little bit see through but can definitely make arrangements, the shorts came in a set with a matching shirt both for $15, but I don’t style them together. It was a sunny day so i paired it with my sunny’s and a cute handbag. I used this outfit to go to a farmers market then a diner and ended it off by a little bit of shopping, had a blast and was a great outfit to make me seem very fashionable but comfortable at the same time. ⭐️Overall rating: 3/5

... Read moreHey beautiful people! Following up on my last post, I know how much we all love finding those perfect outfits that make us feel amazing. It's not just about what you wear, but how you feel in it! I've had so many of you ask about specific situations, like what to wear for a real night out or where I shop for pieces that truly fit. So, let's dive into more details and some of my personal tips! Beyond beach trips, let's talk about those glam night outs or energetic concerts! My previous black skirt set was great for a casual beach vibe, but for a city night out or a concert, I often go for something with a bit more edge or sparkle. Think about a fitted, stretchy midi dress in a bold color or with some subtle shimmer. I love pairing these with a faux leather jacket for that 'baddie' vibe, especially if it's a bit chilly. For concerts, comfort is key, but you still want to look fantastic. I often lean into my favorite dark wash jeans (like the men's ones I mentioned, they're surprisingly comfy!) with a band tee or a cute, cropped top. Layering with an open flannel or a denim jacket not only adds to the 'street fashion' look but also gives you options if the venue gets warm. Don't forget comfy sneakers or stylish ankle boots – you'll be on your feet dancing! One of the biggest struggles for us plus-size women is finding stores that genuinely offer a wide range of sizes and stylish options. It's not just about size, but also about the cut and quality. I've had great luck with a few places. Old Navy, as I mentioned with my favorite campus pants, frequently has fantastic sales and their 'Luxe' line is surprisingly good for basics and casual wear. For trendier pieces and those 'cute plus size clothes' moments, ASOS Curve is a treasure trove – they have so much variety! I also recommend checking out Universal Standard; while a bit pricier, their quality and fit are incredible, and they truly embrace body diversity. Don't shy away from brands like Torrid for a more curated plus-size experience, especially for jeans that are designed for our curves. And sometimes, you find gems in unexpected places like Shein, especially for specific trendy items like that jersey I loved, just remember to check reviews for sizing! Beyond specific outfits, developing your personal 'plus size style' is all about confidence. My biggest tip? Don't hide! Embrace your silhouette as a plus-size woman. The pink cropped top and shorts outfit might have seemed daring, but I felt amazing in it because it was comfortable and showed off my personality. Experiment with different silhouettes – sometimes a well-fitting, flowy wide-leg pant (like my Old Navy ones) can be just as flattering as a fitted skirt. For summer outfit inspo, linen fabrics are a godsend – breathable and chic. I love a good linen blend for shorts or a flowy top, perfect for a 'casual day out' or warm weather. Accessorizing is also key! A great handbag, statement jewelry, or a stylish pair of sunglasses (like I used with my farmers market outfit) can elevate even the simplest look and complete your outfit idea. Remember, fashion is about expressing YOU, so wear what makes you feel good and radiate that confidence!
