i have not had light hair in FIVE years and lemme tell you , i missed it !! between kids and just life in general finding time and funds to maintain my light hair was impossible!!! I finally decided it was time to have a little “mommy make over”!
i got use to my dark brown hair and was terrified i would hate my hair if i changed it after so long!!
- i wanted to gradually to just dip my toes back into blonde so my hairdresser (who just so happens to be my bestfriend) decided a balayage was best!!
- she did more warm tones to avoid a brass color since my hair was so dark!
- we of course had to pop in some money pieces
questions for you besties, what’s your favorite color friendly shampoo + condition?? how do i keep my hair healthy while bleaching??
xoxo 🫶🏼

... Read moreIt's exciting to change up your hair color, especially after sticking to dark shades for so long. If you're considering a similar transformation, balayage is an excellent option as it offers a natural and low-maintenance look. Balayage allows for variations in color and adds dimension to your hair. It's also safer for your locks, minimizing damage. When choosing shades, incorporate warm undertones to combat brassiness, just like I did!
Maintaining color-treated hair can be challenging, but using sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners specifically designed for colored hair can help preserve vibrancy. Deep conditioning treatments are another great way to keep your hair healthy. Staying consistent with trims will also keep your ends looking fresh and minimize breakage.
