Plant Shop x Coffee Shop | Brooklyn, NY 🗽

The Concrete Jungle

A cute little coffee shop that also happens to be a plant shop! You can pick up a new plant and plant accessories. Or you can even stop by for one of their workshops.

Yep just what Bushwick needed. ANOTHER COFFEE SHOP. But this one is special. The ambiance alone makes this another great third space ! Bring your laptop to work or your favorite book to read. The staff is super kind and the drinks are yummy. My go to is still a matcha with almond milk and two pumps of lavender!

It is literally steps away from the J/M/Z at Myrtle Av/Broadway . Plus there are tons of other things to do within walking distance.

💭Will you check it out next time you are in Brooklyn ?

... Read moreIf you're constantly searching for that perfect blend of productivity and peace, or just a beautiful spot to unwind, then you absolutely need to check out places like The Concrete Jungle. I've always found it challenging to find a place that truly feels like a 'third space' – not home, not work, but somewhere I can genuinely relax or focus. The Concrete Jungle nails this. Walking in, you're immediately greeted by a vibrant, plant-filled ambiance, just like the neon sign promises. I love seeing customers seated at tables, some with laptops, others lost in books, all surrounded by numerous plants. It's truly an inviting atmosphere for working or relaxing, a stark contrast to some of the sterile coffee shops out there. What really sets this place apart for me is the plant selection. It's not just a few potted plants for decor; it's a proper mini plant shop woven into the cafe experience. I've seen everything from small succulents perfect for a desk to larger, leafy beauties that could transform an entire room. They also have a great array of plant accessories – think stylish pots, watering cans, and even plant food. I even heard them mentioning workshops on plant care and propagation, which sounds like an amazing way to learn and connect with other plant enthusiasts. It's like an indoor garden cafe come to life! Of course, a coffee shop isn't complete without great drinks and snacks! While my go-to is their lavender almond milk matcha (seriously, try it!), I've seen their menu board has a variety of coffee and addition prices that cater to all tastes. The coffee shop counter is always bustling, and I've often eyed the display case with pastries. They look incredibly tempting, perfect for a little treat alongside your drink. It’s clear they put as much care into their beverages as they do into their greenery, using quality coffee-making equipment. The convenience is another huge plus. Being literally steps away from the J/M/Z at Myrtle Av/Broadway means it's super accessible. I often combine my visit with exploring other local gems in Bushwick. There are so many unique shops and street art murals within walking distance, making it a perfect starting point for a Brooklyn adventure. I’d recommend checking their social media for workshop schedules, as they fill up quickly. For anyone who finds solace in nature but lives in a concrete jungle (pun intended!), a plant-coffee shop like this is a godsend. There's something incredibly calming about being surrounded by lush green plants while sipping a warm drink. It boosts my mood and creativity, making it an ideal spot whether I need to focus on work or simply decompress. The atmosphere created by the dense collection of plants isn't just aesthetically pleasing; it actually makes the space feel fresher and more vibrant. It’s a sensory experience – the gentle hum of conversation, the aroma of coffee, and the sight of all that greenery. This combination makes it more than just a place to grab a drink; it's a community hub and a peaceful retreat. I honestly can’t recommend it enough for anyone in New York looking for a unique cafe experience that offers so much more than just a cup of coffee. It’s truly a local find that stands out!
