Industry City | Things to do in Brooklyn, NY ✨

Industry City

The perfect third space in Brooklyn! There are offices to work, studios to create and tons of seating. What more could you need ?

Located In Sunset Park , this venue has it all. Amazing eateries, cool shops and open courtyards. Whether you want to get some work done , play some games, or hang with friends this is the place to do it .

The studios here offer workshops to the public. Some take walk ins but I advise you to reserve a slot online. There is so much to do , you can easily spend the entire day here.

It’s a quick walk from the R train at 36th St .

& did I mention it’s near the waterfront?!?!

... Read moreOkay, so let me tell you about my recent obsession: Industry City in Brooklyn! I'd heard it was this cool 'third space,' and after spending a full day there, I totally get it. It's not just a place to visit; it’s a whole ecosystem where you can genuinely work, create, eat, and just *be*. First off, the food scene is incredible. You could honestly spend hours just grazing through all the options. I was blown away by Japan Village, which feels like stepping into a bustling Tokyo market with everything from savory street food to incredible groceries. And for anyone with a sweet tooth, LiLac Chocolates is a must-stop. They've been around since 1923, and their handmade chocolates are just divine – I picked up a few gifts (and maybe a few for myself!). If you're looking for something a bit more upscale for a treat, Ashley Colson Patisserie offers beautiful, delicate desserts. The main Food Hall itself is a treasure trove, with so many different vendors, I spotted everything from tacos to artisanal coffee. And yes, I definitely tried some delicious ramen from Izakaya Ramen Pan. Beyond the food, the shopping and creative studios are what truly make Industry City unique. I loved browsing Little Shop of Soil for unique plants and home decor; it’s perfect for finding a quirky gift or a new green friend. Then there’s HiFi Provisions, which has such a curated selection of interesting goods. What really caught my eye were the workshops. I saw signs for things like an Herbarium Bottle Making Workshop and various Botanical Art classes, even places that do Custom Flower Arrangements. It’s so inspiring to see all the artists and makers working in their studios, and many offer public classes, so you can actually get hands-on and learn something new. I’m already planning to sign up for one! The atmosphere itself is fantastic. There are so many open courtyards with plenty of seating, perfect for catching up with friends or just enjoying a coffee. It truly is a place where you can get some work done in a vibrant setting, or simply unwind and play some games. And the fact that it's near the waterfront? That’s just the cherry on top. It offers a nice break to step outside and catch some fresh air with a view. Getting there is super easy, which is a huge plus for me. It’s just a quick walk from the R train at 36th St. So, if you're looking for a dynamic spot in Brooklyn that offers a little bit of everything – delicious bites, unique shopping, creative workshops, and a great vibe – Industry City should definitely be on your list. You can easily spend an entire day here and still feel like you've only scratched the surface!
