A Shop of Things | New York City

A Shop of Things

just had their Grand Opening in NYC . I hope you made it ! If not, it still worth stopping by. It’s located on Orchard St . Right in the Lower East Side . It’s a short walk from Delancey St– Essex St

Of you are a lover of nick nacks or a fan of silly dallying this is the place for you. A Shop of Things has major girls’ girl energy. They have cute rugs , amazing candles, and so much more.

It is truly the cutest store and I’m sure there will be more events in the future. The staff was super kind and helpful. Overall experience: 10/10

... Read moreOkay, so let me tell you more about my absolute favorite new discovery in NYC – A Shop of Things! After hearing whispers about their grand opening, I finally made it down to Orchard Street in the Lower East Side, and seriously, what a treat. From the moment I saw the charming storefront, with its display window full of unique gifts and that catchy A-frame sign advertising "GIFTS FOR THE GRADS & DADS IN YOUR LIFE," I knew I was in for something special. Stepping inside feels like entering a wonderland of creativity and whimsy. The interior is just as inviting as the exterior, with thoughtfully arranged shelves of products that immediately catch your eye. I loved the cozy touch of the red armchairs and the cute cherry stool, which just adds to the welcoming 'girls' girl' energy the store exudes. But let's talk about the products! The article only scratched the surface. You have to see their wall display of various shaped rugs. Imagine finding a rug shaped like a sandwich, an olive, a cute baby, a heart, or even pasta – they're truly unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere, with some fantastic New York-themed designs too! These aren't just quirky; they're conversation starters and perfect for adding personality to any space. And the candles! The white shelving unit is packed with an incredible assortment of candles in different shapes and colors, with a lovely selection in pink and white hues. Beyond candles, there are so many small gift items and decorative boxes that make perfect presents, whether you're shopping for a friend, family, or just a little something for yourself. It’s definitely a go-to spot for those unique, hard-to-find items that show you put thought into your gift-giving. The staff really made my visit a 10/10 experience. They were super kind and genuinely helpful, making the whole browsing experience even more enjoyable. It’s not just a store; it's a destination where you can spend time discovering delightful treasures. If you're a lover of 'nick-nacks' or just someone who enjoys a good 'silly dallying' shopping spree, this is your place. It’s conveniently located just a short walk from the Delancey St–Essex St subway station, making it super easy to pop in. I’m already planning my next visit and hoping to catch one of their future events, which I'm sure will be just as amazing. Don't miss out on this absolute gem of a boutique!
