Cafe / Speakeasy? 📍 Bushwick
I swear Bushwick is a magical place where anything is possible. Like whatttt ?
So I stumble upon a cute little cafe on my neighborhood walk. I was just gonna grab a matcha and go about my business. But Ange Noir Cafe grabbed my attention. It was a cute place where I could grab some food and get some work done.
At the back of the cafe is an interesting phone booth ? Hell booth if you will. You can go through it and end up in an almost completely different place.
This cafe doubles as a speakeasy where there is live music and local art. You can even host your own private event here . There is a Father’s Day event on June 15th. So you can come and celebrate your dad from 11am to 4:30pm .
It is a quick walk from the L train at Morgan Av
Okay, so I just HAVE to share my recent discovery in Bushwick – Ange Noir Cafe! You know how sometimes you just wander into a place and it completely blows your expectations? This was one of those times. I was just looking for a good matcha, but what I found was an absolute gem that's now topping my list of cool spots in NYC. First off, the cafe itself is super inviting. It's got this perfect blend of industrial chic and cozy comfort that makes you want to settle in for hours. I instantly noticed the cozy corner booth areas, complete with a plush black leather tufted bench and stylish marble-patterned tables. It's the ideal setting whether you're looking to get some work done (which I did!) or just catch up with friends over a delicious drink. I ordered a green drink, which was, of course, a perfectly frothed matcha, and it hit the spot. But it's not just about the drinks; their food menu is surprisingly robust. I tried their salad, which was a fresh and vibrant mix of arugula, generous portions of smoked salmon, tangy feta cheese, perfectly diced avocado, and topped with a perfectly cooked fried egg. Seriously, it was a meal in itself – so much better than your average cafe fare. The aesthetic even featured some cool details, like pillows with subtle skeleton designs, which I thought was a fun, edgy touch that hints at the place's dual personality. Now, for the really cool part: the speakeasy! After enjoying my matcha and salad, I noticed this intriguing phone booth at the back. It literally looked like something out of a movie, and when I ventured through, it opened up into an entirely different world. Suddenly, you're in a dimly lit, atmospheric speakeasy buzzing with energy. They have live music, local art displays, and just a totally different vibe from the cafe up front. It's the kind of place where you can easily spend your evening, sipping on a cocktail and soaking in the creative atmosphere. I even heard they host private events, and there's a Father's Day celebration coming up! It's such a unique concept to have a peaceful productivity spot transform into a lively nightlife destination. It's truly like finding a secret portal in the middle of Bushwick. Getting there is super easy too; it's just a quick walk from the L train at Morgan Av, making it accessible for anyone exploring Brooklyn or looking for a cool new hangout. If you're in Bushwick, or even just in NYC, you absolutely have to check out Ange Noir Cafe. Whether you're craving a quiet coffee, a tasty meal, or a vibrant night out with live music, this place delivers on all fronts. It’s certainly a place I’ll be reviewing positively to all my friends!
