Not included are more snack/meal breaks, several picture breaks with the PhotoPass cast members, about 73 bathroom/diaper change breaks with the three one-year-olds, riding many rides twice using rider swap, enjoying many moments to take it all in, one almost-lost-child incident & a few tussles😂
Even with all of this, we still accomplished SO much! We didn't get to the park til half hour after park open (missing our early entry time by an hour; the morning was rough lol), & with how many park days we had, we opted not to do lightning lanes to save money.
We came not really having a set plan because of our large age range in our family, & decided early on this first day that the best system for us was that we all would take turns deciding what we'd do next. It worked so well in this park & saved us from a lot of standing around trying to come to a consensus lol.
I share all this to say that your day & vacation is what you make it. Planning Disney World can be SOOOO overwhelming. You're not going to get it all done in one day or trip. AND you can still get a lot done & have the most magical time ever, no matter your budget, time constraints, ages of those in your party, or things that will most definitely go "wrong!" 🫶🏼
As a certified travel agent, I specialize in taking that stress & overwhelm away so you can focus on what matters most, before during & after your vacation♥️
If you're ready to start planning (it's free to use my services!), I'd love to help you make the best memories with your favorite people🥹
Save this video for your next trip, & send it to someone who wants to hear their favorite magical sounds again!

Visiting Magic Kingdom with a large family spanning ages 1 to 59 can feel overwhelming, but the right approach can turn stress into magical memories. One key strategy is embracing flexibility in your itinerary. Instead of rigid plans, letting members take turns choosing activities keeps everyone engaged and reduces time spent deciding what to do next. This is especially helpful when catering to different ages and interests. Also, using rider swap is an excellent tool for parents with young children. It allows adults to share ride duties without waiting in line twice, enabling everyone to enjoy popular attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, and Haunted Mansion multiple times. Don’t underestimate the value of frequent breaks—whether for snacks, restroom visits, or simply soaking in the park’s ambiance. While managing toddlers means many diaper changes and bathroom stops, these pauses can refresh your group and prevent exhaustion. Planning without lightning lanes or rope drop might seem limiting, but it’s completely possible to have a fulfilling day by prioritizing your must-see rides and shows like "It's a Small World", Peter Pan's Flight, or the Happily Ever After fireworks. Arriving even 30 minutes after opening doesn’t doom your day; with good pacing and realistic expectations, you can accomplish a lot. Remember, your Disney vacation doesn’t have to be perfect. Accept that some things might go "wrong"—from minor tussles to nearly lost children—and focus on enjoying the unique moments that make the visit special. Finally, consider using a certified Disney travel planner. They can help you reduce planning stress and maximize your time, offering personalized recommendations and free support, so you can focus more on making memories with your loved ones.
