The "light box" that slowly reveals the identity of the city. ☁️
The M + building is designed to be like a large "light box" by the Herzog & de Meuron team of architects in partnership with TFP Farrells and Arup. The inside has high, sheer halls, narrow corridors, and work halls that alternate in concept. Natural light is thoroughly controlled - some are so bright that the texture of the walls is clear, some are so dark that a central light leads the eye to the next work. From the high floor, there is a full view of the Kowloon side of Victoria Harbour, clearly intersecting with the silence inside. Afternoon light leads through glass down into long stripes on the floor, giving the impression that the building itself is another work of art. 🪨

The Story of the City in Contemporary Art Form 🏛️
M + collects art, photos, videos, architecture and design works from all over Asia, especially those from Hong Kong itself. Many of them tell of people's lifestyles, changes and memories through audio-visual images. This is not a passive museum, but a space that allows us to gradually understand the city through the eyes of individual artists.

🚕: MTR Kowloon Station (Exit E4 / E5) is a 10-minute walk. The route is quite complicated. It is recommended to ask periodically or choose an Uber ride from the station as convenient as possible.

One more thing: If you come here, I recommend that you stay for the day and day. There are many corners around M +. Freespace and the quiet waterfront are good in the evening. There are small restaurants and boots to sit down periodically. The zone slows down the pace of the day. 🌧️
