Hong Kong WinterFest 2025: Christmas City in the Heart of Hong Kong

Hong Kong's biggest winter festival, the Hong Kong WinterFest 2025, is back on track, with space arrangements and light colours clearer than every year, especially the Central Zone being transformed into a Christmas town in the middle of a business district. The event is set up from November 14, 2025 - January 4, 2026, highlighted by the large Christmas tree, Christmas market and Immersive Light Show. The first time lights are projected on multiple buildings simultaneously in one zone.

Christmas Town at Statue Square Gardens 🎅

The Statue Square Gardens area in the heart of Central is classified as an open Christmas Town. There is a 20-meter-high Christmas tree as the main point of the event. Around it is a toy-themed installation such as trains, spaceships and large decorations intended to match the scale of the city area.

In the same zone, there are about 12 Christmas Market booths. Open from November 28. It sells festive food and small gifts with events and performances that rotate throughout the event. The overall atmosphere does not emphasize the bustle of the fair, but is more a place for people to walk by, stop by and take a break during the day.

Immersive Light Show in Central First in History ✨

One of the highlights of this year's WinterFest was the Immersive Light Show, which took place for the first time. A total of eight major buildings in the Central neighborhood were used as surfaces for illumination with 3D projection mapping techniques. Christmas-themed animations were projected alternately along the building, making Central's nightlife look distinctly different from normal.

The show is organized in rounds during the evening.

Starlight Boulevard on Chater Road. 🌟

Chater Road is decorated with lights along the way, becoming Starlight Boulevard, which connects the work area to the surrounding office and mall zones. On the way, Noëlia at LANDMARK, a large interactive wishing lake, allows people to stop by and write prayers and walk through in the festival atmosphere. This is a zone that makes the familiar corridors of the workday look noticeably relaxed.

One more thing: Compared to Christmas in Bangkok, to be honest, our home is doing very well in decoration and atmosphere. But what is not yet available in Bangkok is the Immersive Light Show on a scale of buildings like this. Hong Kong is doing quite well here. Anyone who has plans to visit at the end of the year, can stop by and see, but may set the expectation to be more fun. 🌧️
