I feel like a lot of women have a Reesa story. I know I do, maybe not to the point of marriage but I’m definitely familiar with someone dangling something in my face and ripping it away. I commend Reesa for telling her story because I think there is a lot of discourse about how common these manipulative behaviors are and because of sunk cost fallacy (the idea that we put so much time and effort into someone or something that we’re determined to make it work when it’s just not working) we convince ourselves to stay in situations hoping the other party would change, and usually they don’t.
