Marriage Advice Every Husband & Wife Should Hear
Marriage isn’t about finding someone who meets all your needs.
It’s about two people learning how to love each other well.
For husbands:
Your wife wants to feel cherished, supported, and chosen.
For wives:
Your husband wants to feel respected, appreciated, and believed in.
Neither is perfect.
Both will make mistakes.
But when a husband and wife stop keeping score and start serving each other, something beautiful happens.
The strongest marriages aren’t built on perfection.
They’re built on two people who keep showing up, keep growing, and keep choosing each other through every season. 🤍

Which piece of advice do you think more couples need to hear?
One of the most valuable insights I have gained in my own marriage journey is the importance of serving each other with humility and love rather than keeping score. From my personal experience, showing up consistently—whether through listening intently, encouraging daily, or sharing small acts of kindness—makes a tremendous difference in building a strong marriage. It's essential that wives feel cherished and supported, which means recognizing their efforts beyond the obvious and making time for meaningful connection. For husbands, showing respect and appreciating their partner's contributions goes a long way toward deepening trust and emotional safety. I’ve found that embracing patience and kindness during disagreements, rather than criticism or control, fosters an environment where both partners feel safe and valued. The OCR content highlights some actionable tips that resonate with me: leading with love, protecting each other's emotions, and encouraging one another often. These practices create a partnership where both spouses uplift each other daily. Simple gestures like affirming your partner publicly, praying together in private, or sharing the mental load of family responsibilities all strengthen the foundation of marriage. I also learned that intimacy is much more profound when built on a foundation of friendship and emotional connection, rather than only physical aspects. Regularly spending quality time, planning dates, and simply laughing together help keep the relationship vibrant. Finally, none of this happens by chance. It requires a daily commitment to choosing each other, growing through challenges, and forgiving mistakes. Love is an active decision that grows stronger over time through consistent care and mutual respect. As couples embrace these principles, marriage becomes not just a bond but a beautiful journey of two people committed to building something lasting and meaningful together.
