Many people have started sorting waste for supplementary income, but lately they may find "this price has fallen" or "this one is getting cheaper" to be discouraged. Today I want to share the information from the third fieldwork with the latest recycling price direction update (December 2025).
📉 "prone" group (be careful)
Scrap (thick-thin): This range, the price is relatively stable to slightly lower by the world steel market price. Thin steel may be only 4.50 - 7.00 baht / kg, depending on cleanliness and quantity.
Colored Plastics / Total Plastics: Prices are relatively stagnant and price culling is more difficult due to tougher environmental requirements to reprocess.
Stainless steel: There is some downward adjustment in some areas (average about 25 - 28 baht / kg).
📈 a "good price / go on" group.
Copper / brass: Still the "gold" of the garbage industry. Beautiful peeling copper. The price has soared above 280 to 300 + baht / kg, and the thick brass has moved up a little.
Aluminum (soft drink cans): Despite some upwards and downwards, the price is still considered strong (about 50 - 60 baht / kg) as the most cost-effective item to store.
White-Black Paper / Paper Books: Prices are somewhat more stable than crate paper. Anyone with a lot of old books or papers lately is a good opportunity to drain.
