Tuesday. 3:47pm. Stuck on the highway.
Ring notification: "Motion detected - Kitchen"
Open the app. My roommate's friend is over.
They're eating. Laughing.
Then I see Max in the corner. Eating something.
Zoom in. It's their THC chocolate bar.
The WHOLE thing. 😰
I'm calling. No answer.
Texting. Nothing.
They have AirPods in. Can't hear the phone.
4:12pm: Max starts swaying on camera.
4:18pm: He's stumbling into walls.
4:24pm: Full collapse. I'm SCREAMING at my phone. 😭
Still 15 minutes away.
Watching my dog dying on a 6-inch screen.
Completely helpless. 💔
Finally get through to roommate.
"MAX ATE YOUR EDIBLES! GET HIM TO THE VET!"
"Oh shit! What do I do?!"
"JUST GO! NOW!" 😰
They carried him out. I met them at the vet.
Max was barely conscious. Seizures starting.
"THC toxicity. Severe. How long ago?"
"45 minutes."
"Why did you wait?"
"I was stuck in traffic. Watching on camera." 😭
The vet's face changed.
"If there had been activated charcoal at your house...
Your roommate could have given it immediately.
Would have absorbed the THC before it hit his brain."
Then she showed me their supply:
"PawMergency. It's what we use here.
Chocolate, THC, grapes, medications - absorbs them all.
Every house needs this. Especially with roommates." 💔
Max survived. Three days in ICU.
Permanent anxiety. Noise sensitivity.
Won't go in the kitchen anymore. 😰
I have PawMergency everywhere now.
Showed my roommate exactly where.
Explained it five times.
Got mine on Amazon. Link in bio.
Because next time I'm in traffic...
Someone needs to save him.
💔 Comment "WATCHING" and I'll DM you my complete emergency plan for when you're not home.
That Ring video is still on my phone.
4:24pm. Tuesday.
The moment I couldn't save him.
The moment that changed everything. 😭 #dogs #dogstory #mydog #usa🇺🇸 #usadogs
