I played a free escape game at this NightFest!

✨ NightFest 2025 ✨

Just wrapped up one of the coolest nights out, yay!

We also played a free escape game called “Late Night at the Museum” hidden inside Singapore NightFest!

👍Why I like it:

The puzzles are rather simple but it made us browse through the new galleries at National Museum and the whole thing kinda tie in with the light projections and festival vibes. So like one stone kill 2 birds for us.

🔑 Spoiler alert (a little one):

There are 3 main stops in the escape game.

1) National Museum of SG – We started inside, explored two galleries, then caught the stunning projection mapping, “Mosaic”. The museum is open specially from 7pm to 11pm, no registrations required, free admission for all!

2) Chijmes – After strolling past SMU Campus Green and the Reflection Pool featuring “Lepak By The River”, we landed at Chijmes for more puzzles and 4 more vibrant projection mappings!

3) Funan – The finale! On the way, we passed Stamford Walkway for “A River Reborn”, “Kampong Chill” at Capitol Building, then ended off at Funan with “KU a Dreamer”and “For Real Fest”. Not bad, that’s quite a lot of NightFest displays we’ve covered!

📸 The whole route was lit with photo-worthy spots. The cool weather made it even better.

⏱ Overall we took about 2hrs to complete the game, then again it’s with stops and photo spamming but honestly, you could finish in about an hour or less if we had speed-run.

Best part? It’s all FREE and blends right into the NightFest walk. Last day is 6th Sep 2025 so go try it before it ends!

National Museum of Singapore

... Read moreIf you’re planning to check out the NightFest in Singapore, adding the ‘Late Night at the Museum’ escape game to your itinerary is a must. The game cleverly integrates with the museum’s galleries and the light projection shows, making it a unique blend of culture, art, and interactive fun. Starting at the National Museum, you can soak in exhibitions before the museum closes, then leisurely walk through scenic spots like the Reflection Pool and Chijmes, where more puzzles await alongside breathtaking light displays. What I loved most was how the game encourages exploration without pressure—it’s perfect for those who enjoy taking photos and soaking in festival atmospheres. Even if you’re new to escape rooms, the puzzles are approachable, focusing on observation rather than complex problem-solving. You typically spend around two hours enjoying the whole route, but you could zip through faster if you’re in a rush. Besides the game itself, the festival features several photo-worthy installations scattered along the walk, making it a great event for friends, couples, or families wanting to make the most of Singapore’s vibrant night scene. The best part? The entire experience is free, with no registration required, so you can just show up and start the fun. To make your visit smoother, wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket as the evening breeze can be cool. Check individual projection showtimes to catch the highlights, especially the ‘Mosaic’ projection at the National Museum, which really sets the mood. Don’t forget to explore nearby landmarks like Funan and Capitol Building to complete your NightFest adventure. This escape game and festival are ideal for anyone looking to combine a love for museums with interactive nightlife activities. It's a refreshing twist on the traditional escape room, set against the backdrop of Singapore’s cultural and architectural gems. Make sure to catch it before it ends on September 6, 2025!
