What I wore to work this week
Here is everything I work to work for the office and from home this week!
1. Ann Taylor shirt dress. Professional, cute and modest enough for the office!
2. Zara wrap dress with black cardigan
3. Uniqlo dress with cardigan
4. Uniqlo shirt and shorts. Completing the outfit is the ikea towel.
My goal with corporate looks is to dress for Tue weather, like how I look, and keep it professional and modest. Outfit 2 was honestly the most risqué (but I also love that dress and it made me happy to wear it - the office is a ghost town in the summer anyway).
When planning work outfits that transition between the office and home, I’ve found it essential to prioritize both comfort and professionalism. For me, selecting pieces that are adaptable while maintaining a polished look is key to feeling confident all day. One practical tip is to invest in versatile staples like shirt dresses and cardigans, which can be easily layered or adjusted according to the day's schedule and weather. For instance, the Ann Taylor shirt dress I wore was not only professional but also comfortable, allowing me to stay stylish without sacrificing ease of movement. Layering it with a cardigan can further refine the look and provide warmth if needed. On more relaxed work-from-home days, pairing a simple Uniqlo shirt with shorts keeps things comfortable yet presentable for video calls. Adding playful or unexpected accessories, such as an IKEA towel as a quirky finishing touch, can add personality to your outfit without overcomplicating it. In dressing for summer office days, I aim to balance modesty with a bit of personal flair. The Zara wrap dress paired with a black cardigan was my favorite, even though it felt somewhat risqué for the office—especially since summer often means a quiet workplace. Wearing what makes you happy can boost your mood and productivity, even in an empty office environment. Ultimately, my approach to corporate attire revolves around dressing for the weather and the day’s agenda while ensuring I feel good in what I wear. This balance helps me transition smoothly between working environments and stay motivated throughout the week.
