Ancient Egypt

... Read moreMy lifelong fascination with Ancient EGYPT has always drawn me to its mysterious past. It’s truly mind-boggling to think about the sheer ingenuity and advanced knowledge these ancient people possessed. I've spent countless hours poring over books and documentaries, and I'm still amazed by their incredible achievements and contributions that continue to influence us today. One of the first questions that captivated me was, "When did Egypt civilization start?" It's not a single event but a gradual process. The roots of Ancient EGYPT date back to the Predynastic Period, around 6000-3100 BCE, when small agricultural communities began to form along the fertile Nile River. The river was their lifeblood, providing water and fertile soil, allowing these communities to thrive and grow. The true "start" of unified Egyptian civilization is often attributed to the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt, traditionally around 3100 BCE, under a legendary king often identified as Menes or Narmer. This period marked the beginning of the Early Dynastic Period, setting the stage for the powerful dynasties and monumental projects that would follow. The major achievements of Ancient EGYPT are truly astounding and varied, showcasing their mastery in numerous fields. When you think of Ancient EGYPT, pyramids immediately come to mind, right? The construction of the Great Pyramids of Giza, for instance, remains one of humanity's most impressive engineering feats. Imagine building such massive structures with the tools they had – it speaks volumes about their architectural prowess, organizational skills, and understanding of mathematics and astronomy. These weren't just tombs; they were symbols of power, belief, and an advanced society. Beyond the pyramids, their contributions stretched across many domains. Take their writing system, hieroglyphs, for example. It's not just beautiful; it was a complex and effective way to record history, administration, and religious texts. Their advances in medicine were also remarkable. The Edwin Smith Papyrus, dating back to 1600 BCE, details surgical procedures, diagnoses, and treatments for various injuries, showing a sophisticated understanding of anatomy and clinical practice far ahead of its time. I mean, they even performed brain surgery! Furthermore, the ancient Egyptians were masters of agricultural innovation, developing intricate irrigation systems to control the Nile's annual floods, ensuring bountiful harvests that sustained their large population. Their astronomical observations led to one of the earliest and most accurate calendars, crucial for agriculture and religious festivals. And let's not forget their stunning artistry – from intricate jewelry and pottery to the vibrant wall paintings in tombs that tell stories of their daily lives and beliefs. It's clear that the contributions of Ancient EGYPT were foundational, laying groundwork for future civilizations in areas like governance, architecture, medicine, and writing. Exploring their legacy isn't just about looking at old stones; it's about understanding the incredible human potential that flourished thousands of years ago. Every time I delve into their history, I'm left with a profound sense of wonder and respect for these pioneers of civilization.

In Islam we believe , people who enter paradise will be 60 cubits tall, which is roughly 90 feet or 30 meters. This is because the Prophet Muhammad ( peace and blessing be upon him) said that everyone who enters paradise will be in the form of Adam, who was also 60 cubit tall. So this is not too far from the truth.
