Goodwill finds that aren’t great but I like them
Thrifting at Goodwill has always been a rewarding experience for me, even when I come across items that aren’t in perfect condition. Sometimes, these finds hold sentimental or nostalgic value, much like spotting a classic Fleetwood Mac Rumours album cover or a vintage King Hostess product that sparks memories or curiosity. I enjoy looking beyond the immediate quality or wear of an item and focusing on its story and potential. For instance, a piece like an XLX King or Jumbo Josh might not be widely known but can add a unique flair or conversation starter in a collection. These quirky, lesser-known brands or items often bring a smile and inspire creativity, whether through upcycling or simply displaying them as part of a unique decor. Personally, I find that the joy of thrifting lies in the thrill of discovery and the chance to own something different that you can't find in regular stores. Even if a thrifted item is labeled as 'AEDIUM,' which could imply medium size or some defect, I try to see how it fits into my lifestyle or wardrobe creatively. This mindset helps me appreciate thrift shopping as more than just a bargain hunt; it’s about connecting with pieces that resonate in unexpected ways. It also encourages me to be patient and open-minded during every Goodwill visit, knowing that perfection isn’t always necessary to enjoy the treasures I bring home.

great finds!
