Why I'd Rehire My ID 120% if I Ever Move Again

My friend said “You’ve got to trust your ID. If not, why hire one?”

With so many horror stories floating around, IDs running off with payment, companies closing down, unresponsiveness, poor workmanship etc... I was scared to hand over a five-digit sum to anyone... Every time I read another reno nightmare post, I am super relieved my renovation experience has been a breeze in comparison.

I can only say… our ID was truly God-sent. 🙏

Would I work with him again if we ever move? 120% yes!!!

To be fair, I don’t think it was easy for our ID working with us. We weren’t the kind of homeowners who already had a clear mood board or a defined style. We went in pretty blank, figuring things out as we went and changed our minds quite a bit along the way. 😅

Yet our ID never once showed frustration. He was patient, meticulous, and genuinely wanted the place to turn out right. Our request was that we want the place to be functional and easier to clean. Which is totally vague omg.

Even when we didn’t know what we wanted, he somehow figured it out with us.

I am thankful for an ID who doesn’t just build our home but also builds our confidence through the process too. 🏠💛

(Lights are a MUST if you want your place to look cosy! )

... Read moreWhen it comes to hiring an interior designer, the trust factor is huge. From my personal experience, having an ID who listens and adapts without frustration made all the difference. Even though we had no clear style or mood board, the designer helped us shape a space that was both functional and easy to maintain—key to our daily comfort. If you’re planning to move again or renovate a resale HDB, consider how flexibility and communication can impact your renovation journey. Many people worry about costs and the uncertainty of handing over large sums, but choosing the right designer who values your input can ease those worries. Lighting was another crucial element that transformed our home’s feel—making the entire space cosy and welcoming. I recommend focusing on such details during your renovation planning. Lastly, if you’re in Singapore or managing a renovation project, it’s worth looking into others’ reviews, guarantees like Qanvast’s, and the availability of installment plans to manage your budget. Renovations often involve many decisions and changes; having a professional guide you patiently is priceless. This experience showed me that it's not just about revamping a space, but also about building confidence throughout the process. Trust your instincts, and when you find a great interior designer, hold on to them for the next move!

Your entire post was basically my partner and I too 😂 our only request when we met IDs were: practical and easy to clean!! Our ID was also great 🥹🥹 and i'd definitely re-engage her again if we were to move houses. We were lucky!!

How Fast Should a Relationship Move?
In the world of dating and relationships, one of the most common questions people ask themselves is: “Are we moving too fast—or too slow?” The truth is, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Every relationship has its own rhythm, shaped by the people in it, their past experiences, and their hopes
