Are miniatures a gateway to witchcraft
Short answer for me: yes. There is just something inherently magical about miniatures. Maybe it’s because they fit so well on an alter. Maybe it just brings to mind fairies and pixies. Maybe they are just plain magical!
I haven’t talked about it much on here, but I do consider myself a Christian witch. Or a Christ-follower that believes there’s magic in the world, that at its depth, without the hypocrisy of the patriarchal church, the world God created is full of magic.
Hundreds of years ago, things we now think of a scientific fact, were considered witchcraft. But today even further than that: the Bible is so mistranslated (or there isn’t 1:1 translations for many words). Translating the Bible was weaponized by King James to further his witch-hunts. There aren’t, in fact, witches mentioned in the Bible. That was a chosen mistranslation. The original is more akin to poisoner/black magic user/assassin.
Anyhow, I doubt my belief in magic mixed with the wonder of the unknown world was what the creature had in mind when creating the tiny bibles, but there it is. Also recommendation: Power of the Psalms goes through the entire book going over how the psalms can mix so well with faith and magic.
