Esthetics of a New Kindle
I got my first kindle (paperwhite) about 10 years ago, I think. She served me well, but it was time for her to retire. Turning a page left a ghost of the previous of the last one. Long delay on selection a highlight/typing a note/selecting buttons. Would randomly restart and couldn’t handle updates.
So I decided to get a newer model. I decided on a regular kindle rather than the paperwhite, because money, yo! As far as I can tell, it’s pretty similar, but smaller. Granted, I haven’t laid hands on a newer model, so who knows! I actually like the smaller size. I have stubby lil fingers so this is more comfy to hold.
I decided to deck this one out a bit, not just with the color (matcha) but with a clear case this time. (They weren’t a thing when I got my last one. I love the idea of changing it up from time to time and even bought a couple new stickers (emotional support kindle/book dragon. The others I had around) that I can play around with (just don’t peel off the backs!) so far, they don’t slide around under the case.
I also ordered a skin off of etsy that has the same pattern as my shoulder bag.
I enjoy rearranging my physical library, so this will be my version of that for digital.
