6-day Seoul itinerary (Concert edition)

IM BACKKK with another kr itinerary!!

This have been sitting in my draft for a while, thinking spring is cmg agn okay la I shall post before the next spring.

This trip happens in Apr 2025 (for context). Temperature then was 20+ to 10+, it was so drastic difference, that at night was really freezing for me. So layer is v impt here !!! Cos in the day I was lowkey hot, especially when the sun is out n bright šŸ”„.

Okay that aside !! This trip happened becos I managed to get tickets to cold play in kr, and since I’m going, tot to bring the parents along as well.

My parents ain’t the biggest fan of Korea, cos to them they think all food is red & spicy! So if ur parents are the same, this prove that that’s not the case. I was determined to changed their impression 🤣

Day 1:

Chill day reach icn ard 3-4pm airport bus to Accoms area & ate simple gukbap at boseung hall. Tbh Taste better the previous time I had it…

Walk around visited OY to buy necessities and stock up, then subsequently headed to DDP for some shopping. Parents were tired at this point headed back around 1130pm.

Day 2:

Concert day! + mangwon market.

Started the day w some bagels, bagel land was diff from LBM defo worth a try if u like those sandwich kind of bagels.

Mangwon market !! Was also so excited for this day cos I plan this place thinking the parents will love it and yesss their eye lit up at the amt of fruits seen in that area, the food was decent! Defo prefer this over gwangjang, tho both got their own unique point.

To walk off the food, we went a lil shopping spree to 09 women & romi story, and walk our way back to hongdae. Had some random udon, then headed back to accoms ( to send the parents back) before we split up, as my sis n I were going for concert and the parents got their own agenda to find this (äø€åŖéø”ļ¼‰ place.

Day 3:

Seong su !! Need no less explanation on this place. Gotta show the parents where youngster go these days and to keep up with the trend!

Standard bread was too long of a wait so we ended up at OATT. Best decision ever so so good!

Bought dad to mutt and he even got a sunglasses ! (dad approved!)

Just endless shopping making all the way to tteoksome where we found this v unique food place called mushroom (ya literall) they sell like a pot of diff type of mushroom tgt! Really good! The only meat option there was to add on beef. So if you can’t take beef, u gotta be vegetarian for that meal ):

Highly recommend this place tho!!

Day 4:

went to LBM dosan outlet which have lesser crowd BUT still crowded, as least 30 min wait when we took queue number when we left our accoms.

Great as usual, then just nice the medicube pop up was nearby so we decided to visit, and it was not crowded, or so to say no crowd at all.

After that we headed to visit haebangchon is like sg CQ (as what my dad say), it was tooooooo crowded we left the shinheung market and wLk along the road, heading to this cafe near grand hand namsan outlet, to see sunset ! If you love sunset, I highly recommend this place. We were abit early so we left as the sun was setting. But there were even couple doing PWS there.

Headed to Seoul’s station to get some food n shop at Lotte mart before heading back.

Day 5:

Had brunch at grain Seoul! Highly recommend too. Parents also love it. Highly anticipated cos I keep seeing their IGS. It’s near yeonnam, so we walked all the way n explored yeonnam. We were abit early, so some shops aren’t open which were a pity.

Had lunch at this tonkastu place [kyungyang katsu], went in not expecting much but actually wow me, nowonder there’s a queue.

Went back accoms before heading out for dinner at hamiok, made a reservation mths before. I would say very pricy, good to eat once, but i probably won’t go again unless special occasion to celebrate. Since it was nearby Hyundai Seoul, we went to take a walk there too.

Day 6:

Heading back to sg so nth much here, but we finally tried the culinary chef famous tiramisu. Too sweet for my liking but I get why it’s famous! It’s really decent.

That’s all!! I have also realise tho my parents (esp my dad) seem to say he don’t like this n that, of the food. He was the one to finish all my bread, noodles/ other food, I buy for supper… resulting me to order food delivery for myself🤣

āœ…pro tip: when planning a trip w parents, I make sure the places I want to shop always have decent cafe nearby so that they can rest while I shop. And also to make sure all these diff cafe are diff also in the sense (some are drinks some are cakes/ sandwich/ finger food etc). Cos we can’t expect them to be drinking coffee Nth time a day🤣

Do give a follow if you like these travel itineraries, I do have some upcoming trips in 2026, so keep a look out for it ~

... Read moreFor those planning a 6-day Seoul itinerary, especially if traveling with parents or family members less familiar with Korean cuisine, here are some tips I learned along the way. One highlight was discovering diverse food options beyond the usual spicy dishes. For example, Mangwon Market impressed everyone with its fresh fruits and variety of flavors, making it a great alternative to the more touristy Gwangjang Market. Also, unique dining experiences like the mushroom hot pot restaurant offer something different — ideal if you want to try Korean cuisine without focusing on meat. If you like shopping, consider neighborhoods like Hongdae and Seongsu. These areas offer trendy stores and cafes that cater to younger crowds but are still welcoming for all ages. Planning your shopping stops near cafĆ©s with varied offerings (from drinks to finger foods) can be a lifesaver, allowing your family to rest while you shop. When it comes to transportation, arriving at Incheon Airport in the afternoon and taking the airport bus to your accommodation saves time and energy. Also, keeping layers handy for Seoul’s changing spring weather is crucial — sunny days can feel warm but nights get chilly. For concert fans, combining your trip with a live show like Coldplay’s in Korea adds a special highlight. Just make sure to plan family activities separately to keep everyone happy. Planning ahead for dinners, like making reservations for upscale spots such as Hamiok, lets you enjoy special occasions, though be mindful these can be pricey. Lastly, trying famous treats like culinary chef’s tiramisu is worth the experience, even if it’s a bit sweet for your palate. These tips and spots helped turn a trip with moderate parental interest in Korea into a fun, memorable family holiday. Feel free to adapt based on your own preferences!
