Solo travelling in Seoul 😮‍💨🤭

Hellooooo !!!

YESSSS I’m back with another variation of Seoul!

This time round I did a short solo getaway to Seoul as I had AL to clear and I rly wanted to go Korea, since my friend aren’t free, I decided to go ALONE.

So if your thinking to do a short getaway to Seoul alone, here’s some ideas what u could do!!

(Travel period: 27 Feb -2 March)

Day 1: SG > ICN (Tway)

💙reach ICN around 6ish AM

- rly bad immigration, only 1 counter open and a lot ppl, queue so long that the SES counter opened n went to register !! ( SG passport Rmb to register so can use e gate!)

💙 airport coach to hotel !

- hotel choice: Fairfield by Marriott Seoul (super good n value for money do solo travel!)

- deposited luggage & change of clothes( it was so so cold)

💙had a brow appointment at yeonnam, so went there to get some breakfast, after the appointment, ran some errand to clear my shopping list before heading back to hotel to check in

💙rested abit after checked in, went out at night to

Hongdae hapjeong area, to visit romi story & 09 women to find clothes !

Subsequently headed to DDP area for shopping, ate dinner at some food stand 😮‍💨🤭

Day 2:

💙 explore a new neighbourhood-> MULLAE

- very vintage

- good food

- local vibes

💙 went back to hongdae & ate my comfort food at boseung hall

💙 headed to tteokseom, to visit rich mood to check out some clothes as well & shopping near that area~

💙headed back & order delivery 🤭😅

Day 3: seongsu day !

💙headed to Seong Su to check out stuff & shopping

- was getting to heavy to carry anyt so headed back

Hotel! (+wasn’t feeling well)

💙 explored area near my hotel, which actly has a lot a lot things

💙ordered FOOD delivery & packing my stuff

Day 4: INC > SG

💙checked out & headed to air port

It was really short n I keep heading back to hotel cos I’m so tired (Aging body 😅🤣) also a lot place prefer grp dinners, so I order dinner for all days. I do however try to aim for a meal out, and i skip breakfast also😅

I guess the good thing is u decided what u want to do what time u want to get out of the hotel etc. but down side is you might get too nua to head out hahah

I really want to do this again!! Do share ur solo Korea experience if ur have 🥹🥹🥹

... Read moreSolo traveling in Seoul offers a unique blend of freedom and self-discovery that can be both exciting and challenging. From my experience, one of the biggest perks of solo travel is the ability to fully customize your itinerary without compromise. You can wake up late, skip breakfast, or explore neighborhoods at your own pace without depending on others. For instance, staying at the Fairfield by Marriott Seoul proved perfect since it’s very solo traveler-friendly — cozy rooms with good facilities at great value. When visiting Seoul alone, neighborhoods like Hongdae and Mullae offer vibrant street life, vintage vibes, and local eateries that make exploring on foot enjoyable and rewarding. Mullae’s arty and vintage industrial feel stood out as an underrated gem, giving a glimpse into local culture away from the usual tourist spots. I also found Seongsu fascinating for its creative shops and cafes, although after a day of carrying shopping bags, heading back to the hotel to rest is definitely a wise choice. One tip worth noting is the immigration process at Incheon Airport; it can be slow, especially when only a few counters are open, so registering for the e-gate with your Singapore passport if eligible can save time. Arriving early in the morning means you can make the most of the day but also be prepared for some waiting time. Dining solo in Seoul sometimes felt a little tricky since many places cater to groups, but ordering food delivery became a convenient alternative, especially after long days of exploring. It’s also a chance to enjoy some relaxed ‘me-time’ in your hotel room while sampling Korean cuisine. Overall, solo travel in Seoul requires a little planning but offers immense rewards in personal freedom and cultural immersion. Embrace the moments of solitude and use them to connect deeply with the city. I’d highly recommend fellow solo travelers to try a short Korean getaway and explore a mix of bustling and laid-back neighborhoods to get the best of this vibrant city.

If you’re looking to hike Inwangsan , here’s our little guide to it: ⛰️ which trail to choose? We ascended via the trailhead near Dongnimmun and descended via Changuimun. The Changuimun trailhead is harder to get to as there aren’t any metro stations nearby but the path is considerably more
