As a music educator deeply committed to nurturing both the talents and spirits of my students, I've found that teaching extends far beyond the classroom. My journey is shaped by faith, leadership, and a strong belief in the potential within every young person. Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," guides me daily, reminding me that challenges are opportunities to grow. Teaching choir at the middle school level means fostering a sense of community, instilling confidence, and offering a safe space for self-expression. I don’t just teach music; I teach life skills — teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Music becomes a conduit for connection, helping students experience joy and develop their unique voices. Boxing is my personal therapy and reset, a physical outlet that complements my spiritual and emotional well-being. Combined with prayer, grace, and daily rituals like coffee, these practices keep me grounded and ready to pour positivity into my students’ lives. My role also involves mentoring and advocating for students, believing earnestly in their dreams and potential. Leadership is a daily act of humility and love — leading like Jesus inspires how I interact and build trust. Behind every rehearsal, every classroom moment, and every song, there’s a broader purpose: to inspire these young people to soar, equipped not only with musical skills but with faith and character. The magic of choir, theater, and music direction invites kids to find their voices and their stories, while reinforcing that they truly matter. Balancing planning and spontaneity, I remain focused on building a life and career that honors God’s grace and provides a strong foundation for the students and families I serve. This blend of passion, faith, and music creates a fulfilling path where teaching is not just a job but a calling and a source of endless inspiration.
