hey all
my first post. dealing with a crappy guy that thinks playing games and treating you shitty is ok. I have been having a bad day and he couldn't even be a friend. let alone anything else.
Navigating toxic relationships can be deeply emotionally taxing. When someone you care about plays games or treats you poorly, it harms your self-esteem and well-being. It is important to recognize the signs early, such as changes in communication patterns, diminishing care, and emotional detachment — all of which can indicate that the other person is no longer invested. Many people hope that love alone will inspire change, but unfortunately, love cannot force someone to value or respect you. In these situations, continuing to invest emotional energy can lead to heartbreak and exhaustion. Healthy relationships require mutual effort: communication, respect, loyalty, and consistency. When those elements are missing, it's not only unfair but unhealthy to remain in such dynamics. Acknowledging that the other person might be dealing with their own internal struggles can help cultivate grace and detachment. You don’t have to beg for the bare minimum like attention or respect; the right person will naturally want to be present, to communicate, and to make things work. Many people learn that detachment is key to protecting their emotional health. Once you accept that your love won’t be reciprocated, you reclaim your sense of safety and self-worth. This doesn’t mean you stop caring altogether but rather that you stop enabling harmful behavior by holding on too tightly. Remember, the right person will hold your love with care and choose you as deeply as you choose them. You should never feel like you’re too much or have to silence your feelings to keep someone around. True love and respect bring mutual understanding without the need for begging or pushing away. One day, you will meet someone who values you as much as you value them and where the relationship is balanced and fulfilling. If you notice gaslighting, manipulation, or defensiveness when you express your feelings, this signals an unhealthy dynamic. Any relationship where honesty and feelings are dismissed to protect someone’s ego is not built on love but on control or denial. In conclusion, trust your intuition. If someone repeatedly fails to treat you with the respect and love you deserve, it’s okay to let go and seek relationships where you are truly valued. Prioritizing self-respect and emotional safety is crucial to finding a fulfilling and loving partnership.
