Some wounds don’t show up in tears. They show up in overworking, overthinking, carrying everyone else’s burdens, and wondering why you’re exhausted.

For a long time, I thought being strong meant holding everything together. But strength isn’t carrying the world on your shoulders. Sometimes it’s putting some of that weight down and realizing you’re worthy of love, support, and rest even when you’re not being everything for everyone.

If this resonates with you, know you’re not alone. 🤍

... Read moreMany of us grow up with the belief that strength means pushing through all hardships alone, often equating self-worth to our productivity and ability to handle everything. From personal experience, I've lived that narrative—overworking, overthinking, and trying to be the pillar for everyone around me. Yet, beneath this facade, there’s an exhaustion that doesn’t show in tears but manifests as a constant mental and emotional drain. I found that accepting my own limits was the first step toward healing. Putting down the weight of unrealistic expectations meant learning to say no, asking for help when needed, and most importantly, validating my feelings—even when I couldn't fully articulate them. It’s common to attract others who appreciate strength but may shy away from vulnerability, making it harder to open up. But embracing softness and imperfection is part of reclaiming peace. Over time, this shift allowed me to set healthier boundaries without guilt. I stopped comparing my behind-the-scenes struggles to others’ highlight reels, recognizing that such comparisons only deepen insecurities. Instead, I focused on personal growth and self-compassion, understanding that I am enough without having to earn love or approval by doing more. If you relate to the feelings of being unseen despite all you do, or the urge to constantly fix and plan, know that you’re not alone. Healing is a journey of releasing the need to control outcomes and learning to cherish rest as an essential form of strength. This process opens space for greater emotional wellness, renewed relationships, and a more authentic connection with oneself. Remember, strength isn’t about carrying the entire world on your shoulders but knowing when to step back and nurture your own well-being.
