Hey everyone! If you're anything like me, when you first jump into the vast universe of Destiny 2, one of the biggest questions is: 'Which class should I pick?' It’s a huge decision because your class truly shapes your gameplay experience, from how you fight to how you support your fireteam. I've spent countless hours in the game, and I'm here to break down the three main Guardian classes to help you make an informed choice! First up, my absolute favorite: the Hunter. As a Hunter main, I can tell you these guys are all about agility, precision, and dealing massive damage. If you love to dodge, weave through enemy fire, and land those satisfying critical hits, a Hunter might be perfect for you. They excel at burst damage and have some fantastic crowd control supers, whether you’re throwing a flurry of knives as a Solar Hunter, chaining arc Staff hits, or going invisible to revive teammates as a Void Hunter. In my experience, Hunters are incredibly versatile for both PvE and PvP, offering a high skill ceiling for those who love mastering movement and aim. You’ll often find me leading the charge with a quick dodge or making a clutch play with my Super. Next, we have the Warlock. Think of Warlocks as the space wizards of Destiny 2. They harness elemental power to devastating effect, often providing powerful support to their team while also dishing out serious damage. If you like to control the battlefield with grenades, empower your allies with healing rifts, or call down massive super abilities like a Nova Bomb or Well of Radiance, the Warlock is your go-to. They might not be as agile as a Hunter, but their ability to sustain fights and clear waves of enemies with elemental explosions is unmatched. Personally, I find playing a Warlock incredibly satisfying when you can strategically place a healing rift to save your team or unleash a super that wipes out an entire boss health bar. Finally, there’s the mighty Titan. These are your frontline defenders, the tanks of the Destiny universe. If you enjoy punching aliens in the face, creating shields for your team, and generally being an unstoppable force, a Titan is calling your name. Titans are all about aggressive close-quarters combat and incredible survivability. Whether it's throwing up a Ward of Dawn bubble to protect your team, slamming into the ground with a Fist of Havoc, or unleashing fiery hammers, their supers are impactful and often turn the tide of battle. I’ve often relied on a good Titan to hold the line during intense encounters, and there's a unique thrill in charging into a group of enemies as a Solar Titan. Choosing your class ultimately comes down to your preferred playstyle. Do you enjoy being a nimble damage dealer (Hunter), a tactical elemental powerhouse (Warlock), or an unyielding fortress (Titan)? My advice? Don't be afraid to try them all! Destiny 2 allows you to create characters for each class, so you can experience the unique flavor each one brings to the table.
