For example, when faced with stubborn stains on white clothing, household items like baking soda and vinegar can work wonders. To remove mold stains, mix equal parts of white vinegar and laundry detergent, then soak for five minutes. For yellowed collars caused by sweat, a mixture of baking soda and white vinegar in hot water can help restore them to their original condition. For grease stains, utilizing rubbing alcohol to spray and scrub has proven effective. Another tip is to treat blood stains by soaking the fabric in cold water mixed with either hydrogen peroxide or a combination of hot water, salt, and vinegar. Using these strategies not only saves your clothes but also contributes to a more sustainable approach to laundry, as you leverage natural ingredients instead of harsh chemicals. Remember to always sort your laundry by color and fabric type to ensure optimal washing conditions, which maintains the integrity of your garments. By implementing these hacks, you can achieve a cleaner, fresher laundry and prolong the life of your clothes!
