Permission not needed ✌🏼
I spent years waiting for someone to validate my dreams.
Someone to tell me I was ready.
Someone to tell me that I was enough.
Someone to believe in me.
Then I realized...
If I kept waiting...
I’d spend my whole life waiting.
I’m no longer waiting but maybe you are.👋🏼
🎤 Mic Drop: Permission isn’t found. It’s claimed.

In my own journey, I too spent countless years waiting for someone else's approval before daring to chase my dreams. I believed I needed validation, a sign, or permission from others to take the next step in life, whether it was pursuing a new career, starting a family, or simply embracing who I am. But over time, I realized this mindset kept me stuck in a loop of hesitation and self-doubt. Women, especially, often feel pressured to seek permission—to speak up, to succeed, or even to take up space in a world that sometimes seems dismissive of their ambitions. This mindset is deeply ingrained in societal norms and expectations. However, the moment I understood that permission does not come from external sources but from within myself was transformative. Claiming my worth and rights to pursue my dreams allowed me to break free from waiting and start living authentically. It's empowering to remember that you don't need anyone to 'sign off' on your aspirations. You are enough, ready, and capable to define your own journey. Taking ownership of your life doesn't mean you won't face challenges; it means you meet them with confidence because you're not waiting on anyone else's green light. If you find yourself hesitating or holding back, reflect on what ‘‘permission’’ means to you. Are you waiting to be perfect, ready, or accepted? The truth is, readiness comes in taking that first step. When you claim your permission, you set your path in motion. For anyone feeling stuck, I encourage you to say "I am enough" aloud and believe it. Surround yourself with supportive voices and resources—such as inspirational books, empowering communities, or personal mentors—that reinforce your self-worth instead of doubts. Remember, your dreams are valid, your voice matters, and you don’t need anyone else’s approval to live fully and boldly. Claim your permission and embrace the incredible power of self-belief. It's your life, your story—own it.
