How to be successful on social media 💛👇🏻
Friends we got to 70k likes on Tik Tok!
I know a lot of creators go viral and get more than that, but virality does not necessarily mean success. Here’s why:
The apps give out a handful of really successful posts to
keep you on them in hopes that it will happen again or that you’ll pay to make it happen again
(Don’t pay unless you’re a business)
I’ve had about one 100k view post per app. That’s my cap. No idea why. But I haven’t made money on any of those.
In fact, making money on social media is really hard. Especially if you’re making content that’s talent based.
People don’t care about talent. People want to argue. My most successful post is on Lemon8 & it’s people arguing about whether I’m AI.
Some of the most successful posters are people who are willing to let the internet roast them to oblivion or “notable
people.” But a lot of us aren’t celebs. So what do we need to do?
We need to go live on Tik Tok. A lot.
I can only average about two lives a week, but since I’ve started live streaming I’ve brought my followers from 2K to 6K in a very short period of time. Going live ensures that people will start to recognize you, see your authenticity in the moment, & start to follow you more. You acquire more fans this way. You also get more notability this way (this is essential for the below)
But where does the money come in? The money comes in via brand deals. Do not. I repeat. Do not depend on making a ton of money via views. The apps don’t pay that much for views. You need to have extreme virality make money on views. (Side note: you can get money by making viral audios if that’s something you’re good at)
If you’ve tapped into extreme virality, great, but if not:
Brands are in need of high quality video content. I myself actually got myself a job with a brand just by asking (Nutrivamos baby!). But I’ve made more money with them than when I started doing this in just a month. I social media manage for them, though. This is more full fledged than just content creating, but if you can do it, it’s lucrative.
Once I have time I can increase this income by getting a few more brand deals that are just content creating, not full fledged social media management. If you have the time to manage multiple social media pages, then do it. I however recommend the approach of doing full fledged social media management for just one brand to ensure they’re getting a quality experience and getting some brand gigs on the side.
That’s my guide to social media success. It’s honest. A lot of creators will tell you all these really general ways to “go viral” and plug their “pdf for social media success” and all that crap. They’re grifting. Don’t buy into the grifters.
Love most of you,

From my experience navigating social media platforms like TikTok and Lemon8, I've realized that success isn't just about getting millions of views or viral moments. Social media algorithms often highlight a few exceptional posts to keep creators engaged, but consistent income rarely comes from views alone unless you reach extreme virality. Authentic engagement, especially through live streaming, has been a game changer for growing a loyal audience. Going live regularly helps followers get to know the real you, building trust and recognition that static posts just can't match. Another important lesson is understanding where the revenue really comes from. Relying on views for earnings can be frustrating; instead, I found that collaborating with brands offers a more dependable income stream. For example, landing a social media management role with a brand like Nutrivamos not only increased my earnings but also expanded my skillset beyond content creation alone. This approach requires effort and relationship building but is far more sustainable. If you're a creator looking to increase your social media success, focus on authenticity, consistent live interaction, and cultivating brand partnerships. Avoid paying for promotion unless you're a business with clear marketing goals—organic growth through genuine connections often leads to better long-term results. Remember, many creators promising overnight success with generic advice or sales of social media guides may not provide practical, honest help. Stay true to your content, engage with your community, and explore multiple income avenues beyond views alone.
