🇸🇬 My First NDP Preview 2
I finally got lucky and scored tickets to NDP Preview 2! 🥹🇸🇬
We arrived a little early, so we sneaked off to Kallang Wave Mall for snacks and an air-con break first. 🤭🍟
By the time we headed back, the whole area was buzzing with excitement!
🤖 We even spotted a military robot dog that everyone was stopping to take photos with.
Then came one of my favourite moments… 🚁🇸🇬 Watching the helicopter fly past with the giant Singapore flag. Goosebumps instantly!
Once we stepped into the stadium… WOW. 🤩
The sea of red, thousands of waving flags, and the cheers from everyone made the atmosphere so special. ❤️
This year’s NDP felt completely different from what I imagined—it honestly felt more like a huge concert than a parade!
✨ Massive LED screens hanging above the stage
💡 Interactive LED wristbands lighting up the entire stadium
🎶 Music, lights, and performances perfectly in sync
🌈 A breathtaking sea of blue and purple lights at night
One of my favourite performances was the giant glowing sea creatures swimming across the stadium. 🐋✨ It was so magical and unlike anything I’d seen before.
And seeing the singers perform live while the whole crowd sang along made the experience even more unforgettable. 🎤❤️
The parade itself was still meaningful and inspiring, but the combination of storytelling, music, lighting, and visual effects made this year’s show feel truly spectacular.
My favourite moment?
Watching tens of thousands of people waving Singapore flags and glowing wristbands together. It was one of those moments you’ll always remember. 🥹🇸🇬
If you’re heading to NDP, here’s my little tip:
✨ Arrive early
✨ Grab some food before queueing
✨ Charge your phone fully—you’ll take hundreds of photos!
✨ Stay until the very end because the night performances are absolutely worth it.
Photos and videos don’t fully capture how incredible it feels. If you ever get the chance to attend NDP, don’t miss it! ❤️🇸🇬
Happy 61st Birthday, Singapore! 🎉

Attending the NDP Preview 2 was truly an eye-opening experience that deeply connected me to the spirit of Singapore. Beyond the stunning visuals and synchronized performances, what stood out was the seamless integration of technology like the interactive LED wristbands, which transformed the crowd into a living, glowing spectacle. It’s these innovative elements that elevate the traditional parade into a multi-sensory event that resonates with all ages. One of the highlights that captivated me was spotting the military robot dog, a fascinating blend of discipline and cutting-edge tech, symbolizing Singapore’s forward-thinking defense capabilities. It added a futuristic touch to the celebrations and was a popular photo spot among attendees. The giant Singapore flag carried gracefully by a helicopter was not just a visual feast but also a poignant reminder of national pride and unity. Moments like these evoke a strong sense of belonging, making you appreciate the sacrifices and progress of the nation. The evening performances, featuring glowing sea creatures and vibrant lighting effects, created an enchanting atmosphere that felt like watching a live storybook unfold. The music and live singing, with the crowd singing along, fostered a collective joy that’s hard to replicate anywhere else. Practical tips I picked up: arriving early gave me the chance to avoid last-minute rushes and enjoy the pre-event vibes. Taking a break at Kallang Wave Mall was perfect for recharging with snacks and air-conditioning before the excitement began. Also, make sure your phone is fully charged—you'll want to capture every memorable moment! If you’re lucky enough to attend an NDP preview or the main event, stay until the very end. The night performances are where the magic truly happens, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Singapore’s anniversary celebrations. This event is not just a parade; it’s an inspiring showcase of national identity, creativity, and togetherness.
