Elevating my 9-5 with my Polène Cyme Mini 🤎

Hi Zesties!

This post has been sitting in my drafts for a long while, it’s finally seeing light 😂

Have been wanting a more structured/“presentable” work bag and was also eyeing this Polène Cyme for the longest time….but never got round to getting it. I made an attempt to get it during my trip to Seoul last April but they didn’t have the color I wanted. ☹️

Anw, fast forward last December, Polène was having their annual free delivery event so I had to leverage on it!!

✨Pro-tip! — The Polène website no longer has the option to toggle between different countries and languages so to order from EU for example to get the lowest rates, I ordered from the France site so I could still pay in EUR. The only downside was that the site was in French so you will need to Google translate abit.

As you are importing goods from overseas, there’s a 9% GST and $20 duty tax processing fee incurred too so need to take note of these extra charges!

My thoughts on the bag after using for 3 months now:

• Its definitely more chic than all my previous work bag and I feel/look more “work-appropriate”

• I am using a 14” laptop so it fits just nice width wise but it is jutting out from the top slightly but not a huge concern for me

• Other than my laptop, I can still fit in the pouch that comes with it (that carries all my small essentials), a mouse, earphones, notebook, pen

• But it is less spacious than I expected and the curved bottom of the bag does limit you from putting wider items

• I bought a bag insert but didn’t use it in the end because it limits the space even more

Overall I don’t regret getting it and it’s been my go-to bag even on non-work days! 🤎

The Polène Cyme Mini stands out for its structured silhouette and elegant look, which makes a strong impression in professional settings. I’ve found that even though it’s designed compactly, it smartly accommodates the essentials you need for the day. One important aspect I realized after ordering from the French Polène site was the necessity to be aware of extra import fees. The 9% GST and $20 duty tax processing fee are things shoppers should factor in to avoid surprises at checkout. For anyone considering this bag, ordering during special events like free delivery can provide great savings. In terms of functionality, while the curved bottom adds uniqueness, it does slightly limit space for wider items—something to keep in mind if you carry bulkier work materials. I initially tried using a bag insert to organize my belongings, but it reduced the space too much, so I returned to the original roomy pouch provided with the bag which works perfectly for smaller essentials like my mouse, earphones, and stationery. The color of the Polène Cyme Mini is another favorite feature; it adds a warm, versatile tone that complements various outfits from formal workwear to casual weekend looks. It’s truly become my go-to bag, not just on workdays but also for other occasions when I want to stay ready and stylish. Overall, if you are looking for a balance between style and practical office use, the Polène Cyme Mini is a worthy investment. It’s about elevating your daily routine with a bag that looks professional yet feels personal, a bag that supports your essentials without bulkiness, and enhances your confidence as you step into the workspace each day.
