What's your favorite book you've read so far?📖
I know it's only the second month of the year, but I would enjoy hearing everyone's favorite reads and possibly why you enjoyed the book. I am also curious to know what books you did not finish.#letschat #lemon8contest
It's true, asking 'what's your favorite book' feels like asking a parent to pick their favorite child – almost impossible! But if I really had to choose, one of the books that truly stuck with me recently was 'The Midnight Library' by Matt Haig. It explores the idea of a library between life and death, where you can try out all the lives you could have lived. It was such a thought-provoking read, making me reflect on choices, regrets, and what truly makes life meaningful. The concept was so unique, and the way Haig wove existential questions into a hopeful narrative was just brilliant. Another one that always comes to mind when someone asks for a 'must-read' is 'Project Hail Mary' by Andy Weir. If you're into sci-fi with humor, puzzles, and a truly engaging protagonist, this is it. I found myself laughing out loud and genuinely rooting for the characters. It's a fantastic escape and a testament to clever storytelling. What makes a book truly become a 'favorite' for me often comes down to how deeply it resonates emotionally or how much it expands my perspective. Sometimes it's the characters who feel like old friends, other times it's a world I never want to leave, or a philosophical idea that stays with me long after I've turned the last page. It’s that feeling of discovery, of finding a new piece of yourself within the pages, that truly makes a book stand out. On the flip side, we all have those books we just couldn't get through, right? It's always a tough decision to put a book down without finishing. For me, sometimes it's simply a matter of timing – the book might be amazing, but I'm just not in the right headspace for it at that moment. Other times, it's a style that just doesn't click, or a plot that fails to grab my attention early on. I've learned that it's okay to let go; there are so many incredible stories out there, and life's too short to force yourself through a book you're not enjoying. I'm genuinely so curious to hear what books have left a lasting impression on you. Was it a classic that everyone raves about, or a hidden gem you stumbled upon? What themes or characters drew you in? Did a particular author's voice make all the difference? And don't be shy about sharing those books you started but ultimately decided weren't for you. Sometimes, knowing what didn't work can be just as insightful as knowing what did. Let's build a fantastic list of recommendations together!

My favorite book that I’ve read so far is It Begins with Us by Colleen Hoover!
