Kinomoto Sakura is here! Get ready for the cuteness overload! ✨🌸📦#coralinedoll #sakura #Cardcaptor#coralinedoll #handmade
Ever since my Kinomoto Sakura doll arrived, she's brought so much joy into my life! As a huge Cardcaptor Sakura fan, having a handmade version of her is truly special. But with such a unique, custom piece, I quickly realized that she needs a little extra love and attention to stay pristine. I wanted to share my personal routine and some fantastic care tips that have helped me keep my Sakura-chan looking her best, just like she deserves! First off, keeping her clean is super important. Because she's handmade with delicate fabrics, you can't just toss her in the wash. I've learned that the best way to handle any dust or minor spots is to gently wipe her with a damp cloth. The key is to dry her right away – I use a hairdryer on a low, cool setting to make sure no moisture lingers, which helps protect the fabric and stuffing. It's a bit of a ritual, but it ensures she always looks fresh without damaging her lovely details. For those little makeup touch-ups – yes, even dolls need them sometimes! – I stick strictly to pastel powder. I was warned to avoid eyeshadow because it can actually change the color over time, and who wants that? So, I dab on a tiny bit of pastel powder with a soft brush, taking my time to apply just a little at a time. It’s amazing how a subtle touch can make her features pop even more. Dressing her up is one of my favorite parts! Finding the right clothes can be a challenge for custom dolls, but I've discovered that 1/6 BJD clothes and plushie shoes fit her perfectly. It opens up a whole world of adorable outfits, allowing me to recreate iconic looks or even design new ones for her. It’s so much fun seeing her in different styles, and these sizes ensure everything fits just right without stretching or damaging her delicate form. Above all, gentleness is key. My Sakura doll is handmade with soft fabric and clearly crafted with lots of love. This means she's not meant for rough play. I treat her with the utmost care, giving her a special spot on my shelf where she’s safe from accidental bumps. It's about cherishing her as a unique piece of art. Beyond the physical care, I also follow a 'Feeding Guide' for her happiness – which really means showering her with affection! Just like the guide says, 'Sunshine, fresh air, cuddles, and love keep your doll happy.' I make sure she gets plenty of indirect sunshine, place her near an open window for some fresh air (when it's safe!), and of course, she gets lots of cuddles from me. She’s more than just a doll; she’s a quiet friend and a source of comfort, always by my side. Taking these steps makes her feel truly cherished, and in return, she brings so much joy to my everyday life. If you have a custom doll, I hope these personal care tips help you keep your treasured companion just as happy and beautiful!
