JJK: Execution Movie Review

*sigh* IDK what I was expecting with this one, but I was a bit disappointed!

I feel like they spent too much time on the recap and not enough on the new stuff😔

I'm also not a huge fan of some of the animation, especially when they start moving faster.

⭐️Overall rating: IDK/10

... Read moreThe Jujutsu Kaisen Execution Movie, also known as the "Shibuya Incident" arc film, adapts one of the most intense parts of the popular anime series. Many fans were excited about its theatrical release on December 5, expecting groundbreaking animation and fresh story developments. However, some viewers found the emphasis on the recap scenes over new content disappointing, as it slowed down the overall progression of the storyline. This film bridges the events of the "Shibuya Incident" and sets the stage for "The Culling Game," a major development in the series. Regarding animation quality, the movie displays high-caliber visuals in many sequences, but some viewers noted that the fast-paced action scenes sometimes felt less fluid and disjointed, impacting the immersive experience. This is notable considering the exceptional animation standards set by the original anime and previous movies. The challenge in balancing detailed animation with rapid movement may have contributed to this impression. Despite these concerns, the movie is essential viewing for fans wishing to follow the expanding storyline of Jujutsu Kaisen. It offers key developments in character arcs and foreshadows upcoming conflicts. The mixture of nostalgic recap and new content aims to cater to both newcomers and long-time fans, although the balance may not satisfy all audiences equally. Overall, while the Jujutsu Kaisen Execution Movie may not meet everyone's expectations, it remains a significant piece in the bigger picture of the franchise. Viewers interested in the evolving plot between the "Shibuya Incident" and "The Culling Game" will find it worthwhile. Anime enthusiasts should consider it as part of the complete JJK experience, appreciating both its strengths and its areas for improvement.
