New primer
New Wetnwild clingy serum primer
My thoughts on this I love how hydrating and sticky it is unfortunately it did not work with Haus labs foundation it started separating an hour later but I will give it a try with other foundations 😎 #wet n wild primer #newproduct #review #primers
It's such a bummer when a promising new product like the Wet n Wild Clingy Serum Primer doesn't immediately click with your go-to foundation, as I experienced with my Haus Labs! Foundation separation can be incredibly frustrating, but often, it's not always the primer's fault entirely. It could be a clash of formulas or even how they're applied. For a 'nwild' primer serum known for its hydrating and sticky properties, sometimes the issue lies in the ingredients. Silicone-based foundations might not always mesh well with water-based primers, or vice-versa, leading to pilling or separation throughout the day. My Haus Labs foundation has a unique formula, and perhaps it just needed a different kind of base. Here are some tips I've learned from my own makeup journey that might help if you're experiencing similar issues with your Wet n Wild primer, or any other sticky hydrating primer: Give it Time to Set: After applying the Wet n Wild primer, don't rush! Let it sit on your skin for 3-5 minutes. This allows the primer to fully absorb and create that 'clingy' base it promises. Applying foundation too quickly can disrupt the primer's film and lead to separation. Less is More: With sticky primers, a thin, even layer is usually all you need. Over-applying can make your base feel heavy and prevent foundation from adhering smoothly. Application Technique Matters: Instead of rubbing your foundation in, try gently dabbing or pressing it onto your skin with a sponge or brush. This helps to maintain the integrity of the primer layer underneath. I've found this especially helpful with more emollient foundations. Exfoliation & Skincare Prep: Ensure your skin is well-prepped. Hydrated, smooth skin provides the best canvas. Dry patches can cause foundation to cling unevenly or separate. Match Formulas (if possible): While not always easy, trying to pair water-based primers with water-based foundations, or silicone-based with silicone-based, can often prevent issues. Since the Wet n Wild primer is a serum, it's likely water-based. I'm planning to test it with some of my lighter, more hydrating foundations next to see if the combination works better. Consider Your Skin Type: If you have very oily skin, a super hydrating primer might sometimes feel like too much, potentially contributing to makeup breakdown. For drier skin types, however, this Wet n Wild primer serum could be a dream. Even though my first try with the Haus Labs foundation didn't go as planned, I'm still optimistic about this affordable Wet n Wild gem! The initial hydrating and sticky feel is exactly what I look for in a primer to help my makeup last. I'm excited to experiment with other foundations in my collection, like some of my dewy or more natural-finish formulas, to find its perfect match. Sometimes, a little trial and error is all it takes to unlock a product's full potential. Don't give up on it just yet!

I got this primer and I think I might like it better than elf primer 🤭🤭🤭
